Hi Janet, this is a lovely 5/7/5. Not an easy form to get a message across successfully, but you have. You've written a beautifully poetic piece - a jewel. Lovely display - good luck - warm regards Dorothy xxx

Vincent Van Gogh was able to maintain some sort of sanity when he painted his famous painting Starry Starry Night. This poem reminded me of that. The term jeweled opulence says it all. Thanks for sharing.

I know there are a lot of people out there that don't enjoy the winter and all that comes with it. But I'm not one of those. Winter is beautiful and the nights are extraordinary. After awhile, a person does appreciate spring, summer and fall. But I can wait. This is a most lovely 5-7-5 poem and I wish you well through the rest of this winter season.

You have made effective use of every syllable in this lovely 5-7-5.
Descriptive word choices, especially the metaphor, paint an awe-inspiring scene.

Hi Janet, this is a lovely 5/7/5 poem for the contest. It's packed with concrete imagery and creates a lovely visual of a starry night sky. There is something reverential in your words as you marvel at its beauty and that transmits well through the words. Lovely write.
