Thank you for coaching us to relax and read your nonet with intention. The second time I read the poem, I combined it with deep breathing. I admired your using a diminishing font size and embedding your words in the picture. Congratulations on having the work well received in the contest- Joan

Hi Yvette... Only you can leave instructions on how to read a poem and make it work so well. This was... is... really nice. Relaxing... like doing yoga while reading... :)

Yes! I was going for the deep-breathing Zen or Yoga read -- so glad you caught that! :) ;) Thanx, again, for stopping by, Susan -- you always have a way to make me smile even when I feel like I'm completely buried and may never 'dig out'!! :) ;) Take care! :) Yvette

Yvette, this was a double entendre for me. First I thought suicide, but then your note put a different light to the poem. The title cleverly connects the two. A diverse Nonet for sure. Good luck for the contest,
Hugs, Trisha

School must be out. :) Everyone needs a time when there is only you in the world where peace and tranquility walk hand-in-hand. If you don't do it... well the luny farm will be your home. How do you relax, Yvette? Soak in hot liquid and let life massage your troubles away. Me I try to fix pocket watches or go fishing. Take care of yourself woman.

Oh, it's been a helluva week around here, Jose -- relax? Yeah, I guess that is a thing (LOL!) ... Ffavorite is front porch when it's not so damn cold with the sounds of the natural world - nothing electronic or anything, just being...or, when that's not available, a low-lit room with some music mixed with nature sounds will do with whatever book I'm on at the time, but I would rather the big, ol' tub with some Two Steps From Hell playing.. just me and my thoughts in my head! ;) ;) So, be sure to fix a couple of watches this week or land a big one for dinner!! :) ;) Take care! :)

Quite a nice shape to your Nonet, which if one can project the graduation, it adds to the affect. You've gone one step further Yvette, by graduation the font, which will help with the process. Well dine with this, the theme is a familiar one, endured by many people, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

This nonet, On the Precipice, has the proper formatting and finds the world is just too much at times. Even a brief respite can save a mind.

This is very nice and relaxing. I read your Author's notes first and did what you told us to do. We all need time to contemplate alone. Most, don't take the time they need to relax and relate to their inner being. I take time every day. In the early morning before the sun rises and in the evening before I go to bed. I sit with my two cats and commune with them, and my inner thoughts and feelings. Many times I feel inspired to write poetry, or just journal, either way, helps me. But, I am fortunate to have the time, and self-awareness, necessary to know that I need to contemplate on a regular basis. The image you chose is lovely, and sets the mood perfectly, for the nonet. Well written and soothing to read. Thanks for the mental exercise.
Take care, Jesse

That is so nice. I did as you asked and read it the second time, slowly. It is a very relaxing nonet, and should do well in the contest. Well done and good luck! :)) Sandra xx

A very well-written Nonet. We all need some time to relax and forget about our worries and stress for a while and just breathe and forget about all the bad things that drive us to the edge.

Hi Yvette :)
What a great nonet... I like your instructions on how to read it (It really does work!)
We all can surely relate to your words - we all get bogged down by the weight of our responsibilities and worries, sometimes we do need to just take a little time out to just breathe.
I enjoyed the whole package of your contest entry and wish you the best of luck.
Kind regards, Debra :)
