Thank you dear, I am almost back to my old self. I was hoping I'd be back to my young self. But that's life. =} Rox

Hi, Roxanna - hope you feel better soon.
Let's assume your title is ironic since an ode usually sings the praises of the subject. I like the inventive listing format and the rhyming couplets detailing all the things that make you miserable about the flu.

I don't blame you Rox, the flu is a terrible thing, although in reality, I only had the genuine variety once in my life, when I was 14, it was shocking for a few days, I woke up one morning, the bed was soaked with sweat, I felt weak, but better, I went and played footy the next day, everything since was a heavy cold. But get better, great Poe, I think you hate the flu. Well dine, blessings, Roy

Rox, I wondered why I had not seen you of late. I pray that the flu will leave and you recover to full health. Do not worry about the reviewing until you are up to it. I had a bad cold for about 10 days and I know somewhat of what you have been going through. Patricia

This is adorably funny. You made fun of one of the worst circumstances and set it to poetry. Number 11 is my favorite: Cant puke but I want to. Feeling you pain, dear Rox. Hope you are feeling completely better real soon.
All my best,
Sal :+)

Yes, People are germy. I don't know anyone who has had it so don't know how I caught it. I guess a germ jumped on me. Thank you Dolly. Rox

I can relate. And I forgive you your grump. Hell, I'm a grump even without the flu. Nice job of reminding me of what I can anticipate. Flus never fly by me.
I need a Venus Flu Trap.
I hope you didn't go back to work too soon. I hope you feel better. Chicken soup and crackers . . . and a healthy slug of brandy.
Good luck.
Peace, Lee

Thank you for sharing. I hope you'll get to feeling better. I always thought that was a funny expression. I'm sure you hope you'll get to feeling better too. The alternative is not a pleasant thought. I like the illustration you chose to accompany this poem. Get Well!
