When I'm sick, I can barely manage to say "hello," and you're not only writing clever poems but making them rhyme. How did you manage that? Everything you describe is right on the money and totally relatable and, despite how annoying these symptoms are, you still manage to make the poem describing them cute and enjoyable. Well done.

So sorry to hear of your plight Roxanna.
Hope you are feeling much better soon.
You have captured the flu in all its ugliness quite well.
Bed rest, hydration and immune support seem to do the trick.
Blessings

Hi, Rox,
Yuck. I was basically sick from the day after Christmas until . . . well, now. I have had a cough, fever off and on, stuffed up nose, bad headaches, and aches and pains. I went to the doctor twice and they gave me antibiotics to cure the sinus infection TWICE - but nothing made me feel better.
About two weeks ago, I just made myself get back to work. I don't work as many hours, but I'm doing it.
Hope you feel better soon,
~patty~

Rox,
Bless your soul. I hope you get back to feeling better soon. This was a fun format - I don't think I've seen this done before. Nice! Sending chicken soup hugs and happy thoughts!

You don't come across an Ode to the flu too often. I had to smile at the audacity. A clever List poem with the lines rhyming. Glad you're feeling better. Get well.

Painful list especially 9. COUGHING UP A LUNG
10. THE BELL IN MY HEAD GETS RUNG.
Did all these people get the flu shot? I heard that happened one year.
Definitely a conspiracy to get rid of senior citizens or annoying teens. LOL

I didn't get a flu shot, my sister did not feel sorry for me for that reason. She is so mean. =} Thank you.

A very well-written ode to the flu, not a good sickness to fight, even when you try to medicate it seems to go its course, of at least one week and another week to recover.

Hello Rox.
Yikes. Having the flu... sucks!! Fortunately (knock on wood) I have not had it in years. That being said, I expect to he layed up next week haha.
At least you were well enough and coherent enough to assemble a pretty good dang poem.
Well done and get well yourself... John

Sorry to hear you are down and out with the flu. That's no fun. Hubs and I had our flu shot and so far it is holding up well. Had a few days last week with low energy, but that is okay. We can handle that. Hope you get better soon. Take it easy. Rest up and watch old movies on tv.
Sincerely Joy xx

Thank you Joy, I think I'm almost back to normal except for a yucky cough. Always takes forever to get over the cough. Rox
