This well-written, moving spiritual poem vividly describes how one gets
saved--confession, belief, getting forgiveness. Oh, yes, the Rapture
will happen.

It is a lovely picture Tom. All inspiring I must say. I can see why she might have thought that. I have seen many sunrises that made me think the same thing. Well done my friend. Nancy:)

A very well-written Deccannelle poem, I think when that day comes, we will all plea and hope that we were worthy in receiving His mercy. It is a very beautiful photo and a great message from God, not to ignore.

Beautifully worded poem about the photo your daughter took one morning. Your format is interesting and your rhyme scheme is unusual. Patricia

You always inspire us with your use of a vast variety of forms. I admired your ten, metered lines and rhymes. You faithfully captured the event, and the energized, final line is quite effective. Thanks for passing your photographer's gene on to your daughter as well! Smiles- Joan

Another new form. How do you keep coming up with these?

I think we all think the same things as the man in the poem. Will we be worthy, etc. The hardest thing is to forgive one's self. We know has already done that. Your poem paints a scene I've often imagined myself.

Lovely meter and rhyme. Beautiful photo.

Thank you damommy, for the many ways that you positively expressed for this poem. The encouragement is energizing. I agree, we all will think the same things. I am honored with the stars. The number of formats I have are a result of several years of reading books and scouring the Internet.

I've been searching for new form for Potlatch Poetry. I found some good ones at poetscollective. We've also used some of yours. Thank you. Yvonne

The feminine endings here make for a great alternating rhyhm. Actually they aren't strictly speaking feminine endings but fully trochaic lines. The seven syllable lines are catalectic trochaic. The fully trochaic line is something one doesn't often see because we like ending lines on stressed syllables and most of our words that have a final unstressed syllable have 'ing' or 'er' endings. you have done well to find so many good ones.

This is an attractive form.

Thank you Jim. You are absolutely correct, but I thought I was already getting too technical for most reviewers.

I truly enjoyed your descriptions in "The Coming," especially how you set the scene and allow the reader to share the experience. It's easy to relate to the Speaker in stanza two who "knelt in torment" filled with "zdeep despair" as he pondered his worthiness to see Him. I especially like this comforting statement: "Tenderness was all around me." I also like this format. Very nice! Rod

There is obviously a lot of talent in your family, Tom. Your daughter's photo is lovely. Your words are amazing, and I am sure your daughter will agree. the two should be framed together. This was a lovely spiritual poem, with very emotional words. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Thank you Sandra. It's amazing that she took that with her cell phone. I'll let her know your comment. And I appreciate the suggestion, as well as the review of the poem.

These phones today are better than some cameras. They do so much. My son showed me how to take a photo on my phone that had him standing in two parts of my garden in the same photo! I still don't understand how he did that! :))
