Cute "argument" in modified triolet form. I like the onomatopoeia with "plop" and "splash." I like running into the word "balderdash" once in a while, because it seems to be a vanishing word. It brings back memories of guest stars on a children's TV show from the early 1970s which was actually called "Balderdash" (not the game show).

Hi Debra. It's good to see you're back. Glad to see you posting again. This was a fun write for the club. Plop or splash it sure looks pretty in the pix. Marilyn

I love this triolet, especially your choice of repeating lines! What a clever use of the form! And, I also love the modifications you made. Those last two lines are so fun and creative! This was a fresh and original interpretation of the artwork. It was a pleasure to read and brought a smile to my face. Well done! :)

Oh, it must be fun to be you. Such a fresh and witty poem. I am just getting into poetry as I am mostly a short works writer. Poetry forms and construction is a new world for me, but I am enjoying it. I throughly enjoyed you triolet poem very much!
All my best,
Sal :+)

This is hilarious. You brought a smile to my face. It's so simple and at the same time so clever. The sound repetition is gorgeous and somewhat onomatopoeic.
Thanks so much for sharing.

You say tomay-toe, and I say tom-at-toe,
You say po-ta-toe, and I say pat-tat-toe...
and so on, ad infinitum...
Good way to implement the topic into your Pix This piece, Debra.

Well if this is isn't splish, splash, splosh then I don't know what is! They are, without a doubt, talking a load of big creamy dollop of plop, so you tell em Debra! This made me laugh so hard and was not what I was expecting yet is expected from your inkpot and quill... so you are definitely one of those expect the unexpected writers while they are more like this line... an oxymoron :) Brilliantly written and a hoot to boot, just what one needs on a Monday blues morning and a brilliant pick me up today!

This is a fun (modified) triolet, Debra. It is one of my favorite styles. You did a good job with it. Your repeating lines and rhymes fit well. It sounded great read aloud. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Debra, this is so cute. Well written and rhymed. Love how you chose to be creative with your fonts and highlight with bold. Great thought process with a small heated debate on splash or plop. It was fun and enjoyable. Good one for the Pix This challenge. I didn't get in on this one but I'm ready for the next one.

    Hi Sandra!
Yes, I'm back...for now at least!
My friend bought me a notebook and told me I needed to start writing again. It's been snarling at me from the kitchen side for a couple of weeks and yesterday I just decided to be brave and go for it!
Thank you for the warm welcome back and for your lovely feedback. I've missed you!
    Love Debra :) x
