You're right but I almost did. It was a long time ago, I had 8 hours and back then that was all you had to have to solo. I was going on a trip with some friends and didn't want to kill myself before I went. :) also, I was a lousy map reader

well, MM, actually I almost got it - I had 8 hours under my belt, but was a lousy map reader and just didn't have the confidence to do it. Anyway some friends of mine and I were getting ready to go on a trip and I didn't want to kill myself and miss it. In those days you only had to have 8 hours to solo. I was not ready.
What feelings, the shark thing, etc??? nope.
she's staying with me now - or I should say she's based here, coaching her "children" as she calls them - her debate team. didn't get back last night until after 1:00. Imagine tonight will ne the same thing I think those things last way too long. I am dog sitting.
Oh, there is a movie you have got to see. Just saw Upside and absolutely loved it. It is a real feel good movie. Let me know if you do.
Of course I have forgotten the order of the quiz questions, but am thinking you also climbed a water tower???!!
can't remember what #5 was about. will check.

well, you're right - HOWEVER - I almost did get it, but my friends and I were going on this great trip and I didn't want to kill myself and miss the trip! (true!) Also I was a lousy map reader and tended to get off track, occasionally. In those days you only had to have 8 hours with an instructor to solo - was definitely not enough for moi!

So I don't know much about you, which makes it nearly impossible for me to guess your lie. Since two are about keeping your feet on the ground, I'm going to guess you don't have your pilots license?

Right you are! Although I almost did. Took 8 hours of lessons - in those days that was enough to get your license - but I had the chance to go on a trip with friends and I didn't want to kill myself before I went, so decided against it. Anyway, I was a lousy map reader. :)

Well, Sam, I tend to abbreviate sentences, but you're right, your way is the correct way. I figure people will get my meaning.
Now, as to your guess about my lie - no, I was an EEG tech for a short while. But I didn't get my pilot's license, although I almost did. Some friends and I were supposed to go on a trip together and I didn't want to kill myself before we went, so decided against. :) Anyway I was a lousy map reader.
As to the water tower incident, it really was scary and at the time, there was no fence around it - a situation that was soon rectified.

Well, Miss Dolly, - I did have my own interior design business - that's probably my favorite thing to do along with writing. But I didn't get my pilot's license, although I almost did. I was never a very good map reader when I was up in the air and I was about to go on a trip with friends and decided I didn't want to kill myself before we went so I opted out. Also, a cousin of mine was killed in his plane and that gave me second thoughts too. (I wasn't as brave as I thought I was)
