This is a beautiful and stunning poem with a perfect photo for the One Line contest. I think that you definitely define bright in more than one way with the reflection from the pavement and the color of the umbrella. The dull is represented well with the grey and dim of the background. I like this a lot. Good luck in the contest.

LOVE it! I think the one-liners are often the most difficult to write. You've created a powerful message in such few words. A perfect contest entry. The touch of red in the black and white photo goes with your every word (brightness with the dull)... Great luck in the contest. I hope you do well.

Yes, you have to look for the bright side of things sometimes or life would be a lot harder sometimes. No matter how dark things may get, things always get brighter.
It is a good piece of artwork you chose to illustrate your work.
