So very true. Such an interesting thought. I had not looked at the worm and apple in that way. This is a thought provoking poem. I appreciate your writing it. Now I am going to comtemplate it.

This naani, Injustice, uses the four lines and twenty-two syllables to have the reader infer that people are damaged from little things that may not be obvious to the casual onlooker. This truism is related well here.

This is a great metaphor. The reader can see this as the imagery of insidiousness of their own governments. That's where my mind automatically goes. This is excellent. I am voting for it.

I think this is how serial killer thoughts sometimes enter serial killers. Or maybe not a worm, but a may fly that lays eggs in someone's brain. And when the larvae hatch, they eat a person's good thoughts.

This is genius.
This is eye appealing. Perfect illustration, font, like the black/red.
Love this. I perceive this as a double message, in that it could be taken literally or be describing what we allow to enter our soul and thoughts that could destroy us, turning us into a 'bad apple', which is not visible to the human appearance, but is something deep within us.
This is definitely a winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yo! Anon...
This is a brilliant piece in this form. Clear, crisp and compact It is very accomplished and has such a subtle 'meaning' that the reader cannot help but pause and interpret it in their own frame of reference.
"Le ver est dans le fruit." as the French would have it.
You MUST do well with this and I for one will keep an eye out at the booth for it.
I wish you well
cheers

This is a very thought-provoking naani--concise (as all naanis are)
and conveying a powerful theme. Something evil can enter our being
during a fleeting opportunity and, over time, do great damage to
who we ARE. The change may not show outwardly.

This practically knocks me over. How beautifully put. So very true. Nothing eats away at someone like being treated unfairly, nothing. Amazing piece. NG
