Love the last stanza of this poem. And isn't it a beautiful goal to have too?
"Achieved with solitary ease" I like that phrase too one should be more comfortable within their own skin should they not? Your work is so very meticulous. It's difficult to critique because it's so good. And that is the finest compliment I can give you. I enjoy your writing and love to read it every time. So I hope your evening is great!

EE, dang, I'll admit I thought this poem was going to be mustard or maybe ketchup. I have read enough of your work to know it's cerebral, but this curveball had me off balance from the start. I suspect you mean condiment is some metaphor for a sentimental sentiment that my West Texas education didn't cover many years ago.

Reads as though you have reached that stage of life when you have sorted everything out and found peace and tranquility, and have discovered what so few find, a reason for living.
Being free from pain and strife, to me, means that you have found a way to deal with all that life has thrown at you.
Even at my age, I do not have perfect sight, but I can damn sure see a lot better.

This is very well crafted. I do enjoy the reflective tone and the calmness within each stanza as the narrator examines and looks deep into his/her own mind and state of being. Very good.

Most people will agree with you that we all need to get rid of our pain by maintaining a sentimental sentiment to keep a tranquil mood to live daily life.
Once our pain is gone, the rest of our life will be s peaceful one.

This seems to me to be the most perfect ending possible to this well-written and beautiful poem. I enjoyed reading it and re-reading it again, and each time, I enjoyed the last verse the most. MM
