Your fine words if adhered to, could very well form the basis for living a full and productive life. I think we both know however, that few will listen and obey. Still it is fitting to put it out there so that someone looking for answers may find your excellent advise and order their lives accordingly.

Thank you so much for your excellent input but unfortunately, very few people grasp awesome truth in the word of God and therefore don't read it much. It is a priceless gift to be one of the few that do.

Once again You stopped me in my tracks.
Your words captured my attention from the first line to the last
each line I read gave me sweet warm chills
This is what I call a food for thought poem

I was always taught that His spirit will come to those who seek him out with a pure and sincere heart : ) My mother's happiness has always shone because of His light/word, and for that I am grateful. Nice poem!

"Happiness Shines", is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I only have fives left. I look forward to seeing your next post.

This well-written spiritual poem is very uplifting. The existence and presence of the Holy Spirit IS a mystery, one we believe in and have in us though we cannot fully comprehend this Entity!

Hello Gudbjorg. I enjoyed this piece of writing very much and especially the references to the light that comes from God. I like your phrase, "it landed where it was meant to land." Robert

I like this; it has a lot of what I already believe in, so it resonates. I like the assonance in "light," "guide," "life," and "thrive" in the first two lines of stanza 2. I like the alliteration in "sparkling spirit" in the first stanza. Then there is plenty of "f" letter alliteration in the second stanza. This is the kind of poem I would definitely use as a handout if I were teaching girls (or boys, too, I think) from age 9 up. I would put a period at the end of the second stanza.

Thank you for such a thorough review. Perhaps my teaching background comes through even the poetry I write. I think you're right: giving out a handout to children of this age could have a very positive impact on their lives. Several young people have told me that they like these poems, as they're easy to understand. I'd love to hear the reactions you get should you give it out to them!

Unfortunately I am not teaching children at church right now, although about 25 years of my life seems to have included that :)

A lovely piece of divine dictation, my friend. It is very true that the more blessings we send out into the world, the more we receive in return. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thank you! I really feel that I'm just a secretary, listening to dictation, sometimes, as I don't feel the words are my own, just coloured by my grasp of the language.

I like your poem - this morning in devotions it again pointed out that Jesus led a joyous life - and He gives life abundantly.
- he didn't let things bother him. Apostle Paul was the same. Amazing to think of all they went through - yet they were joyful. I struggle with having a joyful, trusting heart - and want to be more like Christ in this.
Good poem.
