So very skillfully done, Yvette! You chose words that really painted the picture in this brief form. I especially like your pivot line of "clothed in donations" and then the poem transitions us to "hope in redemption's light."

I very much like how you've drawn in tattered clothing donations although not exactly said that way have used the "magic" of words through allusion. Even without the artwork your message is very clear.

Be proud of who you are and hold your head high for there will be better days in the future for others too. Never put one down for what they wear or the shadows they cast. Don't be so easy to cast the first stone till you walk a mile in their shoes. It might be you one day standing there in the shadows.
