Beautiful presentation. The depth of the message, equally so. It is the style of Haiku that serves you well. But I must say, your writings overall are quite delicate and rewarding.

This is a surprise awaking. It?s one of my all time favourite portraits .. it?s a Tahitian.. have you ever been to Tahiti?

Never been to Tahiti. Grass skirts don't fit so well.

my mother also painted when we were kids...a lot of her painting were ruined in a flood...but I still have some of them...she is now 89 and no longer paints...she studied at the Chicago Art Institute...sigh...you are blessed to have so many of your mothers art work...I love your poem...and love your picture...very well written...love Linda xxoo

Sorry to hear that you lost a great deal of your mother's art due to the flood ..
Luckily you were able to save some though.
My mamma's art fills my heart and home with warmth..
She left me a priceless gift .

Glad you like the painting ..it's one of my favourites ...happy I had the opportunity to show others her beautiful art. I'm very proud of her..
...my mamma passed away suddenly so there were no last words said but I have her art and that comforts me ....I feel she is close.

The reader is invited to reflect with you on what a woman such as you have described would be like. They could also see their own mothers in this description. This is very nicely expressed.

I agree totally with your opening sentence..
I really wanted to share my mamma's art with others .. Sadly, she died suddenly so no last words were said ..but having her work hanging in my house comforts me .. I feel she is close still .
She left me a warm-hearted gift, I'm very lucky.

I'm happy I had this opportunity to write about my mamma and her talent....this particular painting is one of my favourites of hers.
I agree with you her eyes are intriguing ..
She was a very good sculptor too..soon or later I want to write a poem about her statues .

Thank you meeshu ..as soon as I read the requirements of the contest my mamma came to mind.
I always had the secret desire to write about her beautiful art and the gift she left me.
Her art fills my heart and house with warmth and I feel she is close.
