You have some very good lines in this free verse. I like the restrictive jacket line especially. A perfect choice of picture to go along with this, showing all the stages of a butterfly's life.

I loved that line: The tight restrictive jacket of its past', ten marvellous syllables there Trisha! There is nothing more amazing than nature to create miracles, a wonderful tributory poem, love Dolly x

Thank you so much for your extensive notes on this poem. I have been writing poetry for just a few months, and educational notes are so helpful.
I enjoyed the rhyming pattern that you chose. You use good, strong rhymes like "talking," "stalking," "cast," and "past."
You tell the butterfly's story well, creating colorful images. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
