This speaks the poet finds early arrival of winter, how chilly fills Nature, and thinks what winter snow brings; well said, well done. Keep Writing, Keep Inspiring -- DR ALCREATOR

Love me a good snow dude pic, dear. We've had some extra rainy, cold days here as well. It's been a weird winter for sure. Your poem flows so smoothly and conveys a brilliant message...you never know what Mother Nature will offer, so be ready to partake :) Good free verse and fun read. The image and presentation were flawless, as usual...nice job, dear.

Lovely expression of winter.
Some never experience this sort of season but your expressions put each reader into winter. It can give even an Arizonan chilly fingers.
Nice job

I enjoyed this, it was simple yet descriptive enough to paint the pictures drawing the reader in. I felt like I was there witnessing it all, which is how it should be. Good job.

Comment from Ms. Snyder
I like this poem a lot - the line that I think is my favorite and immediately put me in the scene was when you said, "layers of snow crystals cover leaves, trees, inquisitive squirrels" I was there and I chuckled. I was standing in the yard watching it. Beautiful your imagery was ethereal. Thank you for sharing such a lovely poem. Cheers, Fonda

This is really lovely! I like the way you included nature, God's
children, AND God's creatures. Sometimes I pick a favorite stanza, but
all are good. Here in north Mississippi, we don't get a lot of snow--
but love it when we do!

Your poem makes me miss Ohio. I left there thirty-five years ago and moved to Florida. I have never missed the long winters, but I always missed the first snowfall of the season.
