Short and sweet but worth it's weight in rhyme and illustration of the old typewriter and the new word. May all our poems and stories become worthy of bibliopoesy. Marilyn

A very well-written ode to writing. We all have a passion to tell stories or writing poems and it will be an honor to see others all over the world are reading our work.

Oh my land! I thought that was an old cash register or Hansard recording device. Still, a fine invention and what nimble hands you have for typing up bible poesy. :)

Great job friend, Craig. Congrats to you.

Hi, Craig,

Paper in your typewriter? Bah, humbug. I can no longer write by hand or the slowness of the clickety-clack of the typewriter. The smaller, hushed sounds of my keyboard follow my thoughts much quicker and I can actually keep up with myself.

A lovely little word you have introduced to us. Although this one, I actually knew!

I can barely produce a legible scrawl with pen and paper now as well. Many thanks, Patty :)

Congratulations, Craig, on being a published author. I enjoyed your poem. Good job with the rhyme and smooth flow. But your message is loud and clear. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Self-published, but even so, it's nice that for Christmas I'll be able to share my thoughts in writing with a few family and friends :) Many thanks, Jan.

Bibliopoesy.... hmmmm. I have not heard a writing called a poesy in a long time, but I seem to remember it meaning a short, fun verse..... I think.

such fun to read your poems with new words. I am enjoying it.

Regards,

Melissa

Hi Craig. Writing publications sounds mysterious. It could be books or bibliographies or mystery novels. Does publication mean the same thing as publishing? Yes it does. Thank you. Guess I get used to certain words. But you and I share our love of words. Thank you for sharing

Lol. I think most of the younger folks wouldn't have even missed the lack of paper. Given the root of the word, I wonder if the word didn't originally mean book-making as a craft as in bookbinding. Either way, it sounds nicer than "self-publishing."

Matthew Riley is a highly successful Australian action/thriller author who published his first book himself. He used a swag of great tricks so no one would know it was-self published. I'd like five cents for every dollar he's got now. I don't think it always deserved the stigma attached to it.

You again have found a novel way of using your word of the day. Any reader on this site would love to be in the Speaker's shoes and have his words in print. Rod

I bought a bluetooth typewriter to use with iMac. My kids love hearing me pound away on the faux typewriter that looks just like an old typewriter :) I love your image. It elevated the poem and the 8/7/8/7 cadence held quite the lovely meter off the tongue :) This was a pleasure to read. Words were perfectly poised and the presentation was elegant! Those hands have typed a few words in their lifetime.
Nicely done.
Janelle

What lovely comments. Thank you, Janelle for the delightful review. I'm sure it must be a fun thing to do, producing that familiar old rat-tat-tat of the typewriter keys :) Cheers, Craig
