It's odd, sometimes, when we look back on those we have lost, and one specific thing comes to mind, even though that person had a great impact on many aspects of our lives. I remember my brother, Ronnie, who has been gone 22 years, and from him I learned to never be afraid to declare my beliefs.
I'm sure your brother was a great guy. too, as evidenced by your poem.

Was he the fourth of six brothers or fourth of six children? We have six girls and three boys. I am sorry for your loss. I am third child and third girl. Pretty much in the middle. Thank you for sharing

It's tough to lose someone as close as a sibling. I have had to deal with the loss of a sister and a cousin who was like a brother. My biggest regret is that I never told either one how important they both were to me, a real regret.

Thanks, Christine. We are six years apart. He was the juvenile delinquent while I was the Little Lord Fauntleroy.

Heartwarming tribute to a brother. I like the internal rhyme of six and tricks in the second line. And no matter how long ago it happened, we will always grieve the passing of a sibling.

I read this as a terrific remembrance day three liner. Might be wrong, but however it's said, this is a most cool entry and I wish you a bunch of luck, Bill.

Bill,

My condolence on your loss of your brother. I am sure he would appreciate this poem written in his honor.

In brevity, we learned a lot about your brother -- he was a middle child, he was a prankster and unfortunately passed away.

Good luck in the contest.

So true--those loved ones are never forgotten. Great artwork choice. I really like VMarguarite's work. In these three lines, you manage to tell some revealing things about your brother. He was the 4th of 6 children. "Full of tricks," I know how that goes, because the same could be said of my brother. He loved playing tricks on someone. Excellent, and best of luck in the contest. judi

A lovely, 5-7-7 poem Bill, in memory of your Brother Robert....forth of six, full of tricks is a wonderful line that says a lot.
Thoroughly enjoyable read
