This is what happens when you take something that started out as a good idea and push it to it's extreme. Enough is never enough and the result is that you wind up worse off.

You wrote this very well, and your points poetically integrated with good poetic aura.

In terms of content, I am not sure what you mean by 'white masculinity' why 'white?' As if it is a term to long after...that part did not make sense to me.Was it a sense of saying they longed to have a connection to be white and masculin? All couloirs are presiding in the act,...andit certainly is not about being white and masculin, unless I have not read into the meaning correctly, so forgive if I have. For me, that was the only blemish with this...could not understand where that came from.
Otherwise! Good piece of writing, regardless the emphasis being too much on subject matter, but poetry.
Well done.

Best wishes.

Thanks a lot for this very intelligent review my friend. Feminists of this age hate the white men and they blame them for every failure and stress they encounter. It is too easy to point an accusing finger to others and celebrate victimhood rather emerged a victor over perceived oppression. God bless. Susan

A strong statement with which I agree. It is so sad today how men and women want to mutilate their bodies. Goodness knows how many, down the road, will regret what they have done to themselves. Well done.

I guess there must be some idealism involved in feminism, otherwise why pursuit it? But to my mind in some sort of so called freedom struggles, there are others with a more sinister agenda, I really have no doubt, hatred, revenge and self interest are also involved, and domination and enslevement in the minds of some, if you've got humans involved, corruption comes, my only faith remains in the God of justice. Well done Susan, good write, skilfully delivered. I love humanity, but I have trust in only a few, blessings, Roy

I guess I'm having a hard time relating the image with the words in your poem. Of course, I don't know the background story to go with the photo, but those girls don't strike me as looking like typical "junkies". They appear to be celebrating something rather than expressing seething hatred. I'd also be extremely surprised if they were permanent tattoos.

All that aside, and just commenting on your words, I do have to say it makes me uncomfortable when quite a number of women seem to have a deep-seated hatred of men. I get that some men have done horrible things, and most, if not all women have been hard done by at some point. But not all men are monsters. Some actually try quite hard to be reasonable human beings.

Your poem is well written, and makes a very clear point. You use strong word combinations with great effect.

It certainly won't happen in my lifetime, and probably not that of my children, but wouldn't it be great if one day we could all just get along, without having to run each other down?

Very nice work.

Craig

Thanks a lot Craig for this intelligent and perceptive review. I cannot find a better picture of feminists with real tattoos that will amplify the message of my poem. This is the closest I can get actually. But I appreciate that you share my views too, to a certain point. I cannot imagine my daughter running around the house naked, just to make a point and win an argument. I still believe in the value of rational debate and sensible discourse over vulgarity as form of expression of freedom. God bless. Susan

This is a great free verse about not being able to understand the feminists of today. I think that you did well in making me feel your frustration. Your words are powerful and sophisticated. The presentation was good with a good visual. A great job!

To some extent I do agree with you, in the days of the suffragettes there were serious rights fight for and these days we females are in danger of losing our femininity altogether by trying to be equal to men. There will never be equality because women are far too superior for that! He he he, love Dolly x
