how cute! I like how you wrote this from Yeti's perspective! I wonder what they think when they see the white stuff falling from the sky! Let alone, Big Foot outside observing him as well! You did a nice job and had fun writing this I can tell. Feel free to check out my latest poem A Star Is Born as I am new to FanStory and would appreciate your comments! Thanks Mermaids for sharing your little baby Yeti with us!

We had a Guinea pig too. We have cats in the house and one day we heard Guinea squealing like mad. Our special kitty Moe was laying on top of the cage reaching through and petting the Guinea pig. When we cleaned the cage Moe would get in it and roll int the wood chips. The reason I bring this up was your poem brought back that memory. Very nice job.

This is so adorable. What a cute little Guinea pig! I am allergic to so much that the only animal that doesn't drive me nuts (was) my French poodle, Bo. He lived 20 years! I think he just gave up the ghost he was so old when he passed. My best to you in the ownership of this fine guinea pig.

Thanks for giving us a glimpse of what your little furball-with-eyes thinks of the world. Very cute - I'm glad you told me what he was! It's funny he sees his namesake in the snow.

I too agree many things can inspire poetry. I write mostly short stories, mysteries, and westerns but read poetry to relax and see some of the real worlds through thoughts. Having raised three children I've been exposed to many pets: hampsters, rats, snakes, pigs, horses, cattle, ducks, chickens, turtles, tarantulas, and fish. I lucked out when the snakes took care of the rats while we were gone for Thanksgiving. Keep writing.

Mermaids, I love how think of how your guinea pig is feeling is so cute, smiles especially when you said that what she sees when she sees snow--
This white stuff falls
and covers the ground
it looks likes the bottom
of my cage

Her I looks very fluffy and cute. She may in fact be a type of miniature abominable snowman. You should notify The Smithsonian. Coating Yeti's cage with white stuff is smart because it probably makes it easier to spot poop.
