This is a very fitting tribute to a great lady written in a very few words. She is an inspiration to us all, not to give in, not give up. And even without sight and hearing, she did not give up hope. Best wishes.

Helen has taught us many powerful lessons, the one I love most is "Keep your face to the sunlight and you will not see the shadows" I'm not sure if this quote is totally correct, but it always gives me goosebumps.

I recently watched a Hellen Keeler movie. not the Patty Duke version the strayed from Helen's life. This on starred a beautiful little girl who was a terrific actress.
Do you know why Hellen Keller couldn't drive a car?
Because she was a woman.

I know of Hellen Keller, who lived in a dark silent world, but learnt to appreciate and understand with all her other senses, animal like for a while, but had a marvellous teacher who taught her. A great entry in this senryu contest, well done, blessings, Roy
