I did not know what a git was, but I do now. I love your grumpy git, and your poem. At my house, nobody but me does conversation in the morning. So, I am very popular. Personally, I don't do conversation after 7 at night. I don't want to get riled up and disrupt my sleep.
I totally enjoyed your rhyming couplet.

Concise and to the point. We all have our mornings. "Not until I've had my coffee" or
"I don't do mornings" are a couple that come to mind. He sure looks the part, doesn't he. Think I'll leave him alone until it's conversation time.

A great little humorous post. I guess we can all relate one way or another. I have a husband and 4 children and only one child enjoyed talking to this talkative mother in the morning. I finally tuned into a radio to have something to listen to. We're all different I guess. Anyway, love the photo, it totally enhances your expressive rhyming words. Thanks for the smile. Carol
