Dear Sankey,

LOL. It is a good thing you found the solution to the salt pouring even in the rain. We have some humidity in MN in July and August. This year we had quite a wet year and many 90 degree days.

Regards,

Winslow

Thanks, may I suggest, sorry rewardless, you have a look at the later chapters of Little Dog? As I said the book is now complete but we experienced a big change in our lives possibly after you visited my book, I forget when you reviewed before. I doi have some Member Dollar encouragement coming up in the next few days so keep your eyes open for them. I am amazed at the number of people go in all the contests and win prizes and write and expect us all to review their work but never do any reviewing themselves. A couple of us have wanted to start "Reciprocator" groups where we review each other's stuff but TOm said that would be against the rules go figure. I have always been a reciprocator. 'You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours!" Right!

Hahahahaa!!! So funny to me, because when I was a kid, someone loosened the lid on our salt shaker at the table and it dumped the whole little bottle of salt on my mashed potatoes. :D Thanks for bringing back a fun memory.

I was thinking about the rice theory but you seemed to have it mastered with the one you have now. I always like reading about your native land. The weather seems nice but in December we face snow here. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Bro have seen folks put rice in with the salt but the little plastic Salt container seems to have solved the problem. Appreciate the lovely review.

Any time you have excessive humidity you can have problems with your salt shakers. I don't have problems because I haven't used excess spices in years. This is very well written.

My sister used to go on about my salt intake. My Dietitian talked about it yesterday, too. Thing is at a test some time ago my salt level showed low. A while ago, propr to my departure from Red Rooster the BBQ'd Chicken store (due to Coeliac and Type 2) *I watched the server drowning the fries in SALT. I said "Hey why so much?" He said "that was what the customers liked." I said "Not me!" Thanks Bro for coming by.

I cut out the excess salt in my early forties. Most prepared food excess salt. There is no reason to add excess salt to your meal.

Ah well to each his or her own, Bro. I guess we all have our various things we are comfy avoiding.

You've been influenced by Sasha's "rambles"! (If you haven't read her most recent one, the hurricane skirted Mazatlan--thank goodness.) Thanks for the geography lesson about Australia and tip to combat clogged shakers in humid climes. Smiles- Joan

Thanks Joan, Yeah I read Sasha's report. Someone chided me for stealing her Rambles idea but I thought she felt honoured I did. I pinched her great map of Mexico though.

It is always flattering when someone is inspired by our thoughts or process. We all need to keep learning from others. More smiles- Joan

A very well-written short story about the salt and pepper shakers that can clog up very easily and we cannot get anything through the tiny holes no matter how hard we shake.

Interesting. I hate humidity and the humidity hates me. I honestly think the humidity hated me before I hated it. When you're sweating it our in December and January and probably February I will be freezing my little tush off here.

I have to look where that is? Central USA or? Next to what States? USA Geography not good apart from East and West Coasts. I know Kansas was divided between North and South in the Civil war.

Midwest? That's a map of the USA. We're towards the middle top between Minnesota and Michigan

This is a very well written and interesting post about the humidity and the salt and pepper shakers. We have lot of humidity in the summer time here also. You used very good descriptive words and the salt and pepper shaker seemed to be a good idea. It is not always about what's fancy. They took care of what needed to be done! Blessings, Teri

Thanks Sis. Appreciate your lovely words. Yep, better to have something that works rather than something that doesn't. Lord Bless.

As I'm sure you already know, Texas is really hot, but my area rarely has any humidity. Other areas of Texas around the coast is hot and humid. I enjoyed reading this post.

Hi, Geoff,

Humidity causes so many problems. I do not keep salt and pepper out on the table, and I usually store the shakers in glad sandwich bags when not in use.

Thank you for sharing,

MP

Thanks Patty storing in Glad bags now there's keeper. The glass shakers were so pretty even cheap from the supermarket but no good in humidity. Cheers
