When I saw your title I immediately thought of the cow that jumped over the moon, how wrong was I, instead, we could end up on the dinner plate of some unknown galaxy. Great little rhyming poem Craig, enjoyed it and left me smiling. I for one wonder why they want to spend so much money of space travel.

It does seem like a terrible waste when so many are impoverished. Then again, supposedly so much good technology has supposedly come about as a result of problems that needed to be solved to get us into outer space. My guess is many people are looking at somewhere to go after we finally wreck this planet beyond any hope of repair. That's just shifting the problem, in my view. Most grateful, Craig

Most likely, Patty. Although, if they can manage the technology to get here, our potential to do them harm might be limited. Unless, of course, as we might expect of highly advanced beings, they have no use for, nor comprehension of, violence. You reminded me of one of my favourite movies - The Day the Earth Stood Still. Once again, although perhaps meant to be satirical, I find what you've written most thought-provoking. What a disappointment it would be to discover that we (humanity) are mere cows to some other species...

You've voiced what I think many of us think about when thinking of the possibility of aliens. Would they be friendly? Would they be a threat?
"They might drop by here just to pick and browse" ... lol ... luv it! Let's hope that whoever receives our 'aerograms' has a kind heart. Your poem showcased the word 'aerogram' very well. I enjoyed reading it, Craig, and thanks for teaching me another new word.

I did have clues fromthe roots what the word meant. There was a time when I thought I wanted to be an astronomer. Not an astronaut. We have two big observatories here. Space is fascinating. I think it would depend on if someone like trump made contact from space. He and his kind would make us slaves and milk is and force is to have babies that are cruelly treated and sold as veal. But if we get Mother Theresa it is another story. Nice job. Thank you for sharing

Well I guess it all depends. What did the aerograms say on the invitation? If it just said QWERTY my guess is they will know we are cows and will be right on over as soon as they get on their Sunday best, OR maybe they are already here. Wooo ooo wooo ooo.

No, I found day and night shots. I did have photos I took there years ago, but no idea where they would be now.
