Did not know the assignment was imagery but that is just what I had planned to comment on, because it was chuck full. I could almost taste the beer-

Good, painstaking work! This does, indeed, evoke images of the time of Doyle's immortal Sherlock Holmes. Elementary, my dear Bucketlist!
Warm wishes,

Yes, it evoked nostalgic memories of living ?over the pond?. It was thirsty work too!
Thank you for your supportive review, Ogden

First, I love the image of the PUB. I love Sherlock Holmes, so that made this a winner right out of the gate :)
Tongue will register its own memories - this was an interesting inclusion to the write...love it, perfect placement.
Well, I don't drink, but the ambiance and atmosphere would be enough to warrant a visit. Clean, insightful writing, with excellent imagery and presentation. I enjoyed this piece, dear. That opening stanza was a perfect introduction. Keep writing and thanks for sharing such a birds-eye view of this place...Ok, it is real, right? Haha,

After reading this I was engulfed with memories of my leave time to London during the fifties. Cold War days. The pubs were delightful and the stories heard of yesterday. Thanks for sharing.

WOW! This is such a perfect example of using imagery it should be framed. I truly feel like I've been there and can describe it in detail and recommend the place to my friends. I hope everyone in the club reads it and learns! Yes, this is how to draw a reader in and make them part of your piece. Just loved it. mike

Wow, this looks like a haunted place somewhere in New Orleans!
I was always fascinated by what they have down in New Orleans :)
You are right, it does trigger my imagination when looking at it.
