Great writing!

Whilst this is excellent running commentary on the fun and the arguementative times and the to-ing and fro-ing in a long term relationship, namely marriage...the dirt thing, a picture, better still a president? Um, er. No, well sort of. I mean...it's easily explainable.

I read recently that highly artistic or creative people have different connections with the neurons in their brains than people that don't go into any real creative realm or who are quite simply not. So whilst we creative pedanticizers are not lunatics, we ARE from another planet in our spouses/partners eyes. Nuthin we can do I'm afraid. Anyway, I'm past caring. I'll write till I die.

So accept the fact that for the creative ones, there is a whole lot more of something going on, apparently we are hard wired a "little" differently.

No, we really are.

So whilst I DON'T see your man in the dirt, I DO often see pictures in things like that. I'm not even going to begin to tell you of the things I've seen and where. You probably wouldn't believe me. Come to think of it...ahh never mind.

So I believe YOU see it.
And good for you.

Your Maggie, she is a lucky lady just as you are a lucky man. You are both very different, and I'm sure BOTH extremely clever, but with difference comes tolerance and yet...you have a need to constantly take the piss out of each other. That's the spicy bit in life. So really each of you keep the other on their toes and of course grounded and not big headed.

Therefore you compliment each other perfectly.

Well done anyway. Fantastic job, glad I have a sixer left.

P

The vote has gone overwhelmingly in Maggie's favor, but at least your explanation allows me to save face - thanks. I shall simply point out to her that, her lack of creativity and imagination prevent her from seeing what we, more complicated types, can see.

Actually, I shall keep my mouth shut. My extremely cantankerous, 86 year-old mother has been living with us for the past year and a half, and Maggie has been a saint about it, so, while I can be dense at times, I know not to find fault with my better half for the time being (but I'll keep this insight in my back pocket to be pulled out when the time is right).

-I enjoyed your new episode of
"The Mark and Maggie Show," Mark.
-I don't know if I am among "the smart ones,"
but I don't see JFK in your image; I
wonder where you found it?!
-You always make your dialogues
entertaining as you and Maggie
banter back and forth.
-She seems to come up with some good
retorts; Mark, I'm not too sure about!
-I like how you end the skit, too.
-By the way, do we get to know
the results of the poll?

Thanks, Pa,. Unfortunately, the poll results tended to favor Maggie's position (which means I won't be telling her about this.)

You are welcome, Mark. Do you ever tell Maggie anything, or is FS your secret identity?!

Mark,

Personally, I love all these glimpses into a perfect marriage and I think it's a wonderful thing you do to allow people to see what something like that really looks like. It's becoming more and more rare these days, so if people can only 'see' it acted/lived out on a page, so be it. Good on ya!!

I do so admire that Maggie. --sigh-- I'm not quite sure why. I just keep thinking how much I realllllly admire her for some reason. Hm.

As to the image, I hate to disagree, but that is not JFK, punkin.

It is obviously a chariot race
between Ben-Hur, the Prince of Judea, and Messala, the Roman tribune. Duh.

Thanks for sharing!! Congrats on SOM last month!! (Or BOM or whichever category it is). Haha!! Definitely deserved the win. HUZZAH!!!!!

One more thing we both have in common - we both admire Maggie! Thanks so much for the sixer, and for seeing something in the dirt - even though it's not JFK, I'm going to put you in the "yes" column - that makes the score Maggie 23 - Mark 3.I'm catching up!

And yet, somehow, I still adore you. I guess opposites DO attract.

I'm trying to see JFK in this but all I can see is a faint outline of Mark with one of his front teeth missing. Did Maggie eventually lose it, and thump you? I hope things haven't come to that yet, for I'd hate this comedy series to be brought to a grinding halt by domestic violence.

Luckily, I have complete editorial control over what happens in this series (unlike real life). so there may be a few fictional accidents in Maggie's future.

Very, very funny. Not once did the pace let up or seem forced. So many of the comments could have come from my wife and me. Don't know how smart I am but I gotta' go with Maggie on this one! Excellent. Hugh

I guess the us-guys-gotta-stick-together rule only applies for Supreme Court nominees now. Seems nobody is on my side on this one, so I may have to consider the possibility that Maggie is right.

Enjoyed the script funny and down to earth, typical couple, husband always the dreamer, a world beyond his whelms, wife there to bust his balloon. great job.

Thanks - "funny" is what I'm aiming for with these, so I'm glad that came through.

This could totally be a conversation between my wife and I. I'll admit seeing how long this was was a little daunting, but once I got into it I found I enjoyed it. This is also the first script I've reviewed. Great job!

This is very well written and flows well. I actually pictured the scene as described. This is the second script that I have reviewed and I did like it. I think this would make a great play or movie. Every well done. Keep writing.

I liked this. I am not very good at reviewing a script, because I don't understand how to write a script. I will say it flows very well. I can also see why you are at the #17 ranking. I'm not for sure if I can see JFK in the dirt, but there is a image of a face in the dirt. I would say this is well done. Keep writing.

If you see a face, I'm going to put you in the "yes" column - that makes the score Maggie 23 - Mark 2. Thanks!

Sorry, no image do I see. It does resemble the raised relief of those Greek inspired column on some buildings. Good job, Mark, with this fun dialogue story. I enjoyed reading it. I like the conclusion, Ice cream is always good for anything and everything.
Thanks for sharing. Jan

I had a cucumber earlier this year that looked a bit like Eisenhower, but not enough to justify charging admission. Maybe cheese is the way to go.

Yes and saying it's Jesus....Eisenhower has been photographed
