You've created a world that is perfect in this poem, Alcreator. I really like the last stanza the best. It's so upbeat and alive! I also like the repetition of the lines 'let's move to there'. It works great here!

I agree with everything your poem suggests.
I have stood on my soapbox in the states and shouted
equality for everyone. This includes education, insurance
and retirement benefits. The cowboys of America call
me a communist and let people pull themselves up
by their own bootstraps.
Ignorance rules here at the present, I hope and pray
your ideals win favor. I know when Christ returns, all
suffering ends and everyone is treated as Brothers and
Sisters in Christ.

This wonderful place you describe sounds like an ideal place in which to reside. However, without the removal of the evil that influences man's thoughts and actions, life there could not exist. There has to be some sort of force strong enough to restrain or alter the effects of man's inborn tendency to do wrong. in order for life such as you described to exist. Nice job of writing.

I don't know where that place is, but please stop by my house and pick me up when you are on the way. This year, in particular, has been full of more trials than I'd care to name and they seem to grow out of proportion every day.
These are my favorite lines: Humane and fair wisdom and practicable skills are recognised there creditable and commendable services are prized there.
Although you seemed to refer to your writing style in your notes as something that needed explanation, I must tell you, I needed no explanations to grasp the beauty of the place you described.
I enjoyed this work very much and would like to read more of your writing.
I was put in mind of John Lennon's "Imagine" as I read your work for the second time. I believe your reflections speak to the same ideal existence. Thank you for sharing.
P.S. I believe that the word "recognized" may be spelled incorrectly.

After your author's notes, what more is there to say. The poem makes me have wishful thinking. On my Facebook page, I used to put (maybe it's still there) that I'm from Shangri-La. Everyone would say, Where's that? I'd say it's a mystical place where everything is perfect and peaceful. I think that your poem reminds me of that. (Heavenly) I enjoyed being whisked away by your poem. It was lovely. -January L.

Very different from what we often see from you. I love it! It would be a grand place to move to, I agree. You did well with this free verse!
