A very well-written 5-7-5 ode to winter. It seems our pets enjoy the snow more than we do, they cannot resist playing in the snow when it falls despite the cold and wetness.

Ciao Sandra!
I had pets that didn't but my smallest dog she really loved it ..she was medium size and even when the snow was higher than her she wasn't intimidated.😅
..I entered on the spur of the moment and I got a positive response ..it did well in the contest and that's always very encouraging.
Thank you for stopping over to review and vote for it .
All the best for the weekend!

Ciao. my friend. This is a wonderful 5-7-5 ode to Winter. A lovely rhyme in the first two lines. Great last line "Dogs' perfect playground." It sure is a big wide open playground of fun for them, I had two black labs and they loved to play in the snow. lol. Good luck in the contest, this should do well. ~Kerry

Sorry for the late reply.
Labradors have very sweet natured , docile characters ..I can see why they use them for guide dogs. It took me some time but I was happy with the pic I finally found .
Thank you so much for the positve review and vote
Enjoy your weekend !

You're very welcome:)

I'm expecting this pooch write to do very well in the contest. Dogs should be Dogs', I believe, as a plural possessive. A cute pic and accurate count. Good luck to you.

You are right ..I was just finishing now to correct the grammar issue ..another kind poster 10 minutes earlier pointed it out too.
I had a bit of trouble adjusting it because the poem was done with the advanced option..and I was getting those damn A'A'A's ..they drive me nuts.
I love the pic too. [biggrin]
Thank you for the encouraging words and the lovely 5 star vote!

Those darn A's sure can be a pain, agreed.

Oh boy, slay the competition with uber-cute dog pictures! Really, I should say nothing, seeing the obvious advantage you have here, ;-D but, I suggest an apostrophe to make Dogs possessive (it's the dogs' playground): Dogs' (plural), or Dog's (singular)

Thank you Kathleen for the tip
Grammar is not my strong point..
Initially I had it written both ways you suggest but then I started having doubts and left it just as dogs .
Will go and correct now on PC.
I really appreciate your help ..my English is poor.

You're welcome. Grammar & writing help is what we're here for, right? :-D
Yes. Italian is easier ..there is no spelling lessons at school..exceptions apart words are written how they are pronounced.
And there is no apostrophy to form the possessive form...it is a neat option though but confusing at times.
Took a bit to change because it had been written in the advanced option...I kept getting those darn A'A'A'.
Take care
Ciao !

You did great! It sounds like Italian sure is easier - except for remembering which gender to assign to an object - that would mess me up. LOL!
Well what ends in" o "is male and what ends in "a" is female..there are very few exception .. On the other hand German can be hard it's got an extra gender (neutral) and the endings of the words are no help seeing they finish in consonants.
Nice talking to you ..
Ciao!

I love your photo!! Great entry for the Ode to Winter 5-7-5. You have written a short, but sweet poem that uses snow and pets and what a great combination that is! Well done.

There are so many good points about this poem. First you made it rhyme. Second it made sense. Third i like the picture you chose.the only drawback is it's about winter, and you couldnt do anything about that. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the postive review, Earl Corp!
I prefer Autumn ..love the vivid colours ..
Winter is cold and wet but there is something that I love doing .. Making the fireplace ..
It's quite a bit of work but I love watching the flames flicker and glow in the dark and listen to the fire crackle.
I 'm glad you like the pic too !

Wow your dogs are heartier than mine was. She would look at me like with this pained expression and prance in the snow. Hurt that I'd put this white cold stuff down and expected her to pee in it.
Lol
Love your poem
God bless

Not all my dogs liked the snow. ..the medium sized one went nuts for it .. The funny thing was that sometimes the snow was higher than she was😅.
I always had trouble to get my dogs to pee if it was thundering.
If I was unfortunate and a thunder clap went off while they were about to relieve themselves they would freeze and then pull wildly to go back home..
So I would have to wait and try again later .. I hated those end of Summer storms ..nearly one a day .. Very violent and load .
Had to turn off all the electrical devices too..
Thanks for reviewing my poem !
