Barbara,

Wow. I'm so impressed with you and your doggedness in consistently turning out your chapters. I wish I could keep that kind of continuity with my storylines. I've just posted another chap to a novel I started long ago and hope/pray to finish!! hahaha

Again, I saw no issues here and can only commend your talent. Thank you!

Hello Barb
Question did I miss a chapter telling about the fire in the Gulf?
I smiled about how Shana got interested to watch TV, now maybe if she watches a very romantic soap opera she might change her mind about Anderson

The closing with TV scene made me smile. Having grown up in a Jewish family in New York, it seemed totally true to life, since my dad used to limit our TV (and monitor what we did watch) and also made us all write a book report a week (outside of school) to hand in to him. No wonder I ended up an editor!

NOTES:

*optional comma suggestion:

"You wouldn't be responsible(,) even if Kuznetsov is.

*
Thor stood, and Anderson petted his head.

Pet instead of petted would sound better to my ear. Or patted.

* My first priority is to make sure Robert's family's taken care of(,) and I don't know exactly what support Zack will need.

As usual, this is well paced with fine descriptions and characterization.

Can't comment on plot, as I've not kept up fully with the story.

Warmly, rd

I'm sorry for the lateness of my reply, but I had to wait until I had time to make the corrections. Corrections are made, and I appreciate the help.

The second I read about Shana saying her family don't have a TV, I muttered Jesus Christ under my breath. Then I tried to think of whether, as a teacher, she lived alone or still lived with her family - because I got into this story late last year and missed the beginnings.

Otherwise this was well-written and I continue to marvel at the unusual relationship between Shana and Drew.

Shana did have her own apartment, but her dad still had total control over her. I have a reviewer who grew up in a Jewish home and told me I was right on target about the TV. Her dad did close to the same thing.

Hi, Barbara,

Thank you for this latest installment. I'm really wondering what it is that Shana needs to talk to with Drew right now.

I was much more interested in what soap Susan was going to introduce the poor girl to - can you imagine having never seen a soap opera?

Looking forward to the next part,

~MP~

I grew up watching soaps and now I only see them when I visit my mom, once a year. Thank you for the kid review.

Shana just talked with Drew. What does she want him for now?

I used to watch soap operas. Wasn't much else to do back then. But now with the internet, there's too much!

As Shana ate, Susan turned on the TV. "Do you watch any soap operas? <--Missing end quote.

I often wonder where those quotation marks go. I swear they used to be there. LOL Thank you for the catch.

I missed your last chapter but very much enjoyed the notes where Romeo climbs into the bed with Shana. I'm lying in bed right now with two of our four dogs beside me.

"He felt we should read and have family time. Not sit around and watch TV." - this is exactly what my family did. We would read books together or sit and listen to radio shows - to this day I still love reading.

Excellent chapter! I enjoy the interactions between Shana and Anderson,
Carol

Thank you for the kind review. I think children today watch way too much TV and play way too many video games.

Now what's on her mind? She does have a busy brain. lol. I love how the dogs are with her, I'd love a couple like them. At least she has now gotten over her anger at Drew, let's hope it stays that way. Sad about the oil-rig. I wonder if those men are responsible. Things must come to a head soon, I'm sure Drew would like to send over a few snipers to practice some well needed target practice! LOL. Well done, Barbara, another lovely chapter. :) Sandra xxx
