Very funny - sorry I'm out of sixes. I love the glimpse into the mind of a daughter trying to anticipate what madness lies in store. The vibrator thing is priceless, as is you trying to see bad news from your parents world view in which being gay, divorced, or a Cubs fan, is in the same category as dying of cancer.

So, are your family Cardinals' fans? I'm hoping the answer to that is no because I plan on fanning you.

I grew up in Southern Illinois. 75 miles from St Louis. I moved to Chicago out of HighSchool. Northsider. Then downtown. So, yes, I?m a Cubs Fan. I write short stuff. Usually R rated and hopefully funny. I came back to Fanstory in hopes of revitalizing my writing skills, assuming I ever had any. Thanks for reading and leaving a review.

Thanks so much for reading and the most generous review. We tell this story almost every holiday. I leave out the part about the suitcase. Lol.

Dang. I don't want to know. I'm not a curious person. No good comes from "Knowing". - period inside the quotes for word 'knowing'

Now this gave me a chuckle. I did not see that end coming. Haha. Republican is what she's afraid of in this day and age? Lol.

Well written, crisp dialogue, moved along steadily with even pace and good flow. No errors to note except the one listed above which really isn't an error, more of a choice :) edit suggestion, if you will. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest. So, how did ole dad take the news? Hehe

He took it okay. In fact, he eventually ended up being a Republican. Mother was beside herself. Lol. Thanks for reading and reviewing. We still laugh about it today.

Absolutely loved this write - put a smile on my face that should last through the day. From the time you presented your attitude toward and through the phone call and then the reaction at the end...hilarious!! :) :) I would only suggest making the following grammatical fix:

"Republican". "That should" --> 'Republican. That should'

Thank you so very much for sharing and good luck in the contest!! :) ;)
