Very nice crisp haiku. I love the concluding line which is uplifting and comforting. One feels that his poem probably took a long time to select just the words which transmit the peace of the haiku. Thank you for using my picture to illustrate your haiku.

The Senryu format works well here- in all its succintness- conjuring up the impact of TIme on our lives and especially our memories draping them in 'gold'

-Very nice image and presentation.
-Syllable count is good.
-Effective imagery and message.
-I like "veil of time."
-I also like the idea that
as we sift through our memories,
we end up with what is important.

Gold some sunny days, lead the rest of the time...I read the paperback Haiku Handbook(covering senryu and renga as well) but retained very little. Such as
I kept says this is a good senryu...
