How true it is, drinking and driving don't mix. Also a lot of other things aren't conducive to having a drink or two. My post of The Crisis relates to that. Thank you for sharing.

This is a very fine piece of writing. It has a wonderful cadence and pace. Excellent verse and verbiage. Well done but tragic, TPA.did you mean the author note you wrote? it actually makes sense the way it is. I wish you well in all your future endeavors.......................meeshu

This spreads the word that we should not drink and drive. It's a very dangerous thing, one of my family members lost their license because of that. If you are going to get drunk, stay home.

Interesting twist at the end. Story conveys a good messag. 150 words arent a lot to work with. Good luck in the contest. No disrespect but I hope you take second place.

Hi there,

A good use of flash fiction to remind folks how dangerous it is to drink and drive. This little tidbit seemed especially cruel because the death and the driver were linked.

Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest,

~MP~

Oh my God! It's terrible! I mean the piece is great, but the ending. Great job. Absolutely, amazing. If I had six stars available, I would give them to you. Wow! I'm speechless. It doesn't get any worse than this.

This sounds like the ultimate punishment for the crime of drink-driving. I guess that any time we let drugs or alcohol deprive us of our senses, we're asking for trouble. Often, as in this case, the consequences are life-changing.
