LOL!

Very funny little tale about the dangers of smoking and spending too much time with folks.

I still need to write a story about my new hobby. I decided to make my own 'edibles,' because they are incredibly expensive. I love living in one of the states that have made marijuana legal, as long as you follow the rules.

Pretty sure I won't be getting into any duels with anyone - Bernie and Howie can't hold a pistol!

Flower pot men, eh? So that's what you call weed dealers now? Who knew?

Of for the good old days of morning duels. That must've been such a fun time. haha.

Great job Craig. I'm looking forward to today's offering. :)

Amusing and well rhymed. I enjoyed reading this poem and the illustration was perfect for your theme. Monomachy and flower-pot men. Learned two new interesting words. Marilyn

Hi Craig, I really enjoyed this witty poem moralizing about marijuana. I loved the bouncy meter and the 8/6/8/6 syllable count in the quatrains is one of my favorite styles of formal poetry. Very clever write and the rhyme pair of monomachy and backy was fun too.

Thank you for the context about "Bill & Ben" and your inspiration for the "word of the day" poem. I enjoyed your rhymes and the new addition to my vocabulary. Cheers- Joan

"Flower pot men?" Such a cute euphemism. Enjoyed your story poem and your creative rhymes like, like "wacky backy and monomachy.' I thought "pot" calmed people down and at least reduced motivation to do anything.

It can have that effect, Helen. Other short term effects include paranoia and panic attacks. I guess it's a bit like alcohol, in that it can affect different people in different ways (or the same person in different ways). Long term use causes impaired cognitive ability and memory loss (hmmm, obviously it's not the only thing that does that!)

Wow, Graig, fancy that, I was born in 1952. I liked your poem and what you say is so true. Stay away from drug dealing and none will get hurt. It's proven over and over again. Great new word. All the best. Ulla:))

Thanks so much, Ulla. Not everyone gets to have their birthday celebrated by having a TV series made in their honour :)

Thank you again, Valda. I had forgotten about this show from my childhood, until for some reason it came rushing back to mind when I was contemplating what to write. There are lots of shows like that... Andy Pandy, the Magic
Roundabout... couldn't tell you any of the plotlines though, they are long gone lol

Okay, never had the opportunity to watch Bill and Ben, but this was quite an amusing write for today's word...fun and light and just a tad bit wacky. ;) ;) Thanx for the smile this morning! :) ;) Yvette

Thanks so much, Yvette. You could probably find episodes on YouTube if you felt the inclination, though I doubt you'd find it all that rewarding. A lot of shows which held great appeal as a kid don't do that much for me now lol

A very well-written poem about two friends who killed each other because of weed. Even if they make it fifty times over legal, it is not right in my eyes to use it to smoke, it definitely numbs the ability of the brain.

Thanks so much, Sandra. It certainly does do that. Since I've never used the stuff, I guess there must be a different explanation in my case :) Cheers, Craig
