Hi Craig. Your post is filled with humor. I love it. You've created a wonderful poem that I certainly enjoyed. I like the new word for today. Or is it the "old" word? Marilyn

It's the new old word, Marilyn. Everything makes a return eventually :) Thanks so much for the lovely review -- Craig

Hi Craig. I loved your mad mis-rhyme. Made me chuckle. I never thought of doing that. Your meter is spot on. I enjoyed this poem. I know the feeling as we all do. Thank you for sharing .

Charette is a fabulous word. I had no idea it existed until you composed this very clever poem. Writing is not the easiest form of relaxation, I have found. And yet, without writing, I will feel like I have lost a fight. Guess you feel that way, too. .

Your poem flows smoothly from one verse to the next and gives a peek into a writer's mind of what it is like to procrastinate. Your rhymes are flawless except for missed-mad, which is understandable.

I would say this poem is exceptional. And it is a learning experience.

Blessings to you, Linda

I like the sound of this word. Will have to remember to work it into conversations down at the pub :)

Thanks so much, for the wonderful rating, and the very lovely comments, Linda. I really appreciate the kindness.

    Cheers, Craig

A fine charette, Craig. Working under intense pressure can produce some of the best work ever, but the recovery can make it even more difficult the next time. LOL.

I didn't notice the rhymed mucked up. It seemed completely correct to me.

A lovely poem, not the deadline for tonight is approaching rapidly so no more wasting time dithering friend, Craig.

Lol. I could see it's a French word but it didn't make sense a little cart would mean working to meet a deadline until I read that it referred to architecture students meeting a deadline to put their work on the little cart. Fun poem to illustrate this word!

This was just what the doctor ordered today... a bit of light-heartedness framed in perfect meter and nearly perfect rhyme. The "missed" rhyme was the funniest of all and is sure to make your readers smile, at the very least. Thanks for the educational and fun poetry you keep providing. This, my own charette, just barely squeaked in, I think, before the money disappeared. ;p Oh, perhaps I was thinking of Wednesday's post.

Thanks for a review which left a big smile on my face, MM. I really like this word, I think I'm going to try and work it into every conversation, at least once. I really appreciate the lovely comments. Cheers, Craig

Wow, Craig, you've composed a wonderful poem telling a story within only to use today's word at the very end. Very well done. You had me on the look out and then, there it was. Well written. I liked it a lot. All the best. Ulla:))

Thanks so much, Ulla. The really funny thing is, I actually had written the poem (based on the word), and then realised I'd forgotten to include it! So there was a bit of re-working to be had lol Most grateful, Craig

I like the way the one in the poem thinks, Craig. Ok, he has nothing written, the deadline looms, so he will make it up as he goes along. If he does, I hope he doesn't go too overboard and get fired. Good job with your project. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thanks very much, Jan. Luckily, he's not in a position to be fired, otherwise he probably would have been, long ago :) Cheers, Craig

Nice ride along rhythm to the rhyme Craig.
Sounds jolly despite sounding desperate.
You do push yourself very hard in the production line.
let me know when the book comes out.
for it will be a jolly challenge to read and remember.
up up and away... :-))Z.

HaWelcome to Fanstory :) , well I'm not sure if it will ever be a "real" book, it's more just a device to keep related stuff together in my portfolio -- but, who knows? Only a hundred days plus change to go lol Thanks so much, Z.
