Hello Asylum
what a touching poem to read about a homeless man that you met on the street and the excellent way you told us in in your authors note about your conversations with other homeless people

A light and flowing poem of couplets with heavy pondering moments. There are the highs and lows that life has offered or directed the level that which we conduct our lives in. For some it is a choice, for others, it's been passed down and for a few, it's a last resort for survival, this being the life we lead.
Better to give than to receive. an honest concept for the inner result when giving to another through your heart.
Nice for you to offer help for the people that all cities have forgotten about and are too busy helping out other countries first. At times I think that
Socialism isn't such a bad way to run a country by, such as Sweden does.

great penning, terrific rhymes

SIX STARS 6******Such a cheerful carefree tone and verses flow freely with a sense of freedom and fun. Most of all, I love how you were caring and giving and gave a homeless man $5. I, often, give homeless people money, blankets, clothes and bottled water. Check out my writings, also. MAY GOD BLESS me and my family to be wealthy health and financially stable, you and your family; and May God Bless America. AMEN. liberty justice

Hey Liberty... it was $20.00 dollars that would have gone to waste. Thanks so much for your wonderful stellar/plus-one review. it touched my heart. Yours, diana

I am enjoying reading your poetry and to be honest... your author's notes stories were a bigger hit with me. A lot of us never seem to stop and listen to the poor. Your example is good and that is reflected in this verse too. So well done. Thank you for your writing.

I liked your poem very much. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us in your notes, you are like an earth angel sent to help those less fortunate. Giving cash is one thing, but paying attention is far more valuable. Thanks for what you do.

Hi Artasylum,

You are an angel that has been sent. You are sooo good hearted to help the homeless ill, lonely and solitary of the world! the form of the enjambment of the poem is perfect. Your way to open up to them and for them to open up to you is empirical! Your note is really a gleaning essay.

Peace be with you Artasylum!

This is such a wonderful poem, I enjoyed it very much. The poem very nicely rhymes at the end. You talk about the homeless people , just how vunerable they are. They are just unfortunate to be in that situation, otherwise they are like any other individual. A lot are educated and had held jobs. You have made such a difference to their lives and I hope there are more wonderful people like you in the world. I could feel how important those few dollars were to them, every penny counts. Lovely work. Thank you for sharing

Hi, Di. The poem is touching and brilliantly voiced. The prose is well written and much much better since you made your adjustments. I hope you don't think I was being pushy, my friend. Just trying to help. Good job. Bob

I think we'll find the most real people, the most human people on the street. They have quite interesting tales and stories, and there but for the grace of God...go all of us. This is a lovely poem, I especially enjoyed your notes, which made me feel I was meeting these people too.
Blessings...
