So sweet ... love the picture!

"Consanguinate" ... this will be a harder word to remember, though you conveyed it very well in this piece. Thanks for teaching me another word, Craig!

Cheers,
Connie

Thanks so much, Connie. I thought the picture was sweet too, no need to look further, once I came across that one :) Cheers, Craig

What a precious picture - much better than that of conjoined twins as I would have imagined with such a word as 'consanguinate.' Good poem whether a limerick or not!

A very interesting not-limerick. Reads like a limerick but with a sweet message of friendship - best friends and companions. Adding to the beauty is the picture of two babies holding hands. A refreshingly gentle read. Blessings to you, Linda

Thanks so much, Linda.I wish there were more words in the book that so easily lent themselves to writing gentle poems. Cheers, Craig

Maybe it fell out of use because it was more popular with the vampire cults of the day...I can see why they would use this as having a close "blood-buddy" - ha!! :) ;)

Simply love the pic you've found here -- how precious! :) :)

Thank you for sharing! :) ;)

Hi Craig, what a great poem that incorporates the word of the day in an inventive way and provides context for its use. Good use of the limerick form for your poem. I don't mind the iambic meter either. Nicely penned.

Craig, This is an absolutely adorable write with a precious picture to go with it. You used very good words (and I have no clue about the new one) and sweet picture. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. Blessings, Teri

    Hi Teri,

Please rest assured I have read, and truly appreciate your comments. And, as is always the case, I responded individually to them. Then, by simply pressing the wrong button, I irretrievably lost ten responses that had taken me half an hour or more to type (not for the first time). I don't have time to retype them all today, so you are now receiving a "canned" response, and for that I'm sorry.

Please know that I do appreciate your comments, very much. And, if you get time, perhaps drop Tom a note suggesting he remove the stupid "Next Page" button from the comments page, or at least auto-save the responses before opening a new page. Thanks :)

Don't worry about that Craig. I have done that too. I don't worry about not getting responses back like this, but it was nice of you to do it! Blessings, Teri

Hey, Craig. I think this limerick states well what we all feel here. All fanstorians consanguinate with each other in their love for writing.

Keep writing and educating us with words from that book

I do know you appreciate them as I appreciate yours.
I have don't that too. It is infuriating.

    You're welcome.

Good job, Craig, with a strange word that you explained well. Your not-limerick reads smoothly with great meaning. I like the picture chosen, too. It is evident that your research your word choice before writing on all of your posts from this book. I like reading your author notes. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Interesting word and form, Craig. Sometimes that empathic "sense" occurs as if by magic, but of course it's likely something much more simplistic such as consanguinaticity, yes? LOL

Great job with a new word and great fun to read too.

Gloria

A very well-written poem about very good friends that will be friends no matter what come across their path. They will overcome everything that stands between their friendship.

I do understand your dilemma, it happens to.me many times too. It is no joke to type each reply over again with one finger on a touchscreen keyboard.
