Yes indeed, the occupation of a scribe or wordsmith's role is to make language sing to bring to life the written, which in essence what the bible was meant to do. Beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Interesting poem. I wonder why you wrote one eye sees...why not two eyes? With some poems is hard to figure out what is about..I hate that. Yours is pretty straight forward. Good job.

I really like your poem as it made me think. And the artwork did, too. Maybe I'm just slow. LOL However, I really like both and can see now a "secret heart" as "one's eyes see the meaning of words written"- and as the words speak to our hearts, the meanings are written there, along with the words. The open book in the artwork, showing it melding with a story-book cottage is just beautiful and illustrates your poem so well.
