This is a very well written limerick you have penned about Chester the cat. You used very cute descriptive words about the cat who liked knocking down your nick nicks. That is what I call them. Very cute words and art work. Blessings Teri

Oh consarnit and tarnation, cats! Of course they love to climb around the bric-a-brac and then that's how they end up in the daisies in the backyard. It's just like yin and yang, yes?
A fun Limerick, Craig and only because I realize no actual cats were picking daisies.

Well, it's good that you started with an apology! I hope you don't get too many cat lovers upset. I think that's just what cats like to do. And this word seems to be limited to the Yorkshire dialect?

Now see here I thought Chester was the cause of his own demise - lol! :) As a cat owner but not cat person (yes, there's a difference!), I can attest to the fact that a climb-tack could certainly accomplish such....one of these new ones living in our house :) :) has knocked over/down some pretty heavy things that could have hurt her....crazy feline!! :) :)

A very well-written Limerick about the cat that once was a lively cat that liked to walk on the shelves and inspect the bric-a-brac. He used all nine of his lives and pushing up the daisies now.

Cute poem. Poor Chester must of messed with a knick nack that was a bit more heavy than he was or something of that nature. Good use of words and imagery. Oh yes, I am a cat lover, but life does happen, so I understand, that some times these things happen.

Yes, that's what happened - he didn't meet a sticky end after breaking a particularly loved and expensive trinket.
It's just a joke - I would never harm a hair on any animal's head. But I'm not against idly threatening them with being tarred and feathered if they break stuff :)

I am a devoted cat lover yet I felt offended not one bit, as the poem is so humorous and I can relate because despite how much I love my fur babies, I do pull my hair out in exasperation sometimes too at their annoying little ways, One of which is messing with ornaments and objects!! They're so flipping nosy! I laughed out loud. Great job x

Many thanks for the kind comments, Hayley. I'm fond of cats myself, although I don't have any (domesticated ones) because of where I live. I had quite a few of them as a kid. We do have a dozen or so feral ones, who call our sheds home from time to time, but come and go as they please.

I have 2 domestic cats at the moment who are such lovely company. They go off and roam but then always come back. And I?m soon rescuing 2 more kittens so will be a crazy cat lady haha and very proud x
