LOL Thanks, Valda. I love the way single cell organisms do what they do, and how complex even the simplest microbe is. I wish I had a microscope. I haven't owned one since I was a kid. Maybe time to treat myself for Christmas lol

Thank you again. I'd love to be able to see one of those critters for real. I must save up and buy myself a decent microscope - I haven't looked through one since I was a kid. Then, I'd like to see viruses too, but I think I need a scanning electron microscope for that. That might require more saving than I have time for before I'm pushing up daisies lol. Hi Craig. I am trying to think of a higher life form than the amoeba which can change shapes. Change colors. Play dead. Regrow limbs. But not change into something else. I had no clue for the word. Your poem is good because humans chang moods and emotions and even motives Thank you for sharing

Octopuses can regrow limbs, change colours and play dead. They can also arrange their bodies to resemble other species, although it's a trick of being very flexible and clever, not really changing their structure. I don't know of any "animals", as opposed to microbes, that can really change their form. But maybe I just haven't heard about it :) Thanks for the great comments, Pam.
