Hi Craig, again you've penned a wonderful poem and this time about an eagle. It's up there circumventing and seeing earth with a bird's eye view. In this instance the underprospect. What a word. It's logical, of course, but a bit cumbersome. I'm learning all the time. All the best.Ulla:))

Wow. I would have thought with a word like 'underprospect' one might have used the POV of a person in an airplane - but, since you used the vulture, we are given both views - that of the bird, and the prey below.

Thanks very much, Patty. Given that 37,000 feet is an altitude often used by cruising aircraft, you might be able to look out the window and wink at the vulture :) Most grateful, Craig

Hi Craig. Even with all of your clues I missed it because I was fixating on underwhelmed. So I thought maybe it wasn't a good prospect. This just proves that adults shoot themselves in the foot with preconceived notions. Good job. Thank you for sharing

Hi Craig, this is a clever write about attitude and perspective. I liked the metaphor of a bird with a nonplussed bird's eye view of the all powerful homo sapiens. The word of the day worked well and the rhythm was excellent in your poem.

Yep, it's the highest known flight of any bird. It reminds me of the song Wind Beneath My Wings, which contains the line "I can fly higher than an eagle...". One is tempted to say "So what? Lots of birds can!" Even ducks, geese and swans, which are among the highest flyers. Many thanks for reviewing, Craig

Well it's possible this fine fellow might not be around for too much longer anyway as the endangered species act is being dismantled. I guess some folks don't understand we all share in wildlife and in particular the ones with wings.

That said, totally awesome poem and long live the Vulture. Maybe it will be the only one that does survive, not that I'm being pessimistic or anything.
