Love the treasonous, treacherous, alliteration in this tale of spy's and secrets. Love the ending verse, shot out of your dream you could say, and left us smiling.
cheers,
valda

Hi, Craig,

Was it a dream? Or a nightmare? It certainly had elements of both. I think the whole thing is one huge mess and to try to analyze it too closely takes you to the depths of hell.

Thank you for a glimmer of light in my morning,

~patty~

A nightmare for certain, Patty. Thankfully not one I have to live - yet. All I can do is try and lend some support to those who do, and pray it doesn't spread. Sadly, there are signs that is happening. Cheers, Craig

This poem is flippin' fantastic. It has all my favourite things - tight rhythm, perfect rhyme, humour and a twist. You are an awesome writer, Craig. Well done.

Thanks so much for the wonderful, and very generous comments, Robbie. I have great admiration for what I've seen of your poetic prowess, so that makes the compliment even more delightful. Cheers, Craig

Ha. Poetic prowess? Don't look at my latest poem, then, it's basically just frivolous nonsense! Hahahahaha.

A very well-written poem about unethical behaviour and actions of people with power and make the man in the street with no say in what should be done to get everything right back on track.

Hi Craig. I chuckled at your comments. This has a very good flow and rhyming scheme. Did I know what it meant? No clue this time. Are you talking about trump. What a dangerous ahole he is. Thank you for sharing

This one is a tough one for me. Lots of new terms. I think that I have the term Boy Jones. Guess that is the point after all.
Good entry for your term definition. This one must have taken you awhile.

It didn't take that long, Debbie.. Strangely, I often spend longer on a three line poem than I will on one with several stanzas. I find once the thoughts start to come, it's fairly straightforward, whereas in something like a haiku, because there are far fewer words, every one has to count more. Not sure if that makes sense lol

    Many thanks, Craig

I must learn to unleash the words. I like the short ones. They are like a puzzle to me. I like the challenge of getting it in a few words. I can write. I just don't have an abundance of thoughts to write about. You do, and that amazes me.

Very cool cowboy cartoon, Craig. Some of my best heroes are cartoon good guys like Quickdraw McGraw.

Well that is a dream an a half. Too bad it wasn't true. But it's likely gonna take a sharp-shooter to clear up that mess.

Superb poem written in fine metre and rhymes. :)

Thanks very much, Gloria. I remember Quickdraw, but I wasn't that into him. There are a few people who remind me of Yosemite Sam though. Cheers, Craig

Your political satire is brilliant my favorite I've read on the site. I could read twenty more (hint) on different subjects or people. Thanks and hope this fun continues. yours, diana

Thanks so much for the very kind comments, Diana. I've already been told once in the reviews for this poem that I should keep my mouth shut (ain't gonna happen) , so it's nice to receive an appreciative comment. Cheers, Craig

A sharp piece of satire to get your point across. Humour can be a great tool for exposing folly and stupidity. I like the way your dream sequence turns the weapons on the guilty!
