LOL ROFLMBO

Oh, my. Yes. A poem which speaks of the whole situation in a humorous way, but makes people think. How on earth can the horror show of a president be supported by the Christians? They ran Jerry Falwell and Jim Baker off for the exact same behavior, and yet the orange man can do no wrong.

Thank you so much for giving me a giggle,

~patty~

You're welcome, Patty. It is unfathomable, isn't it? Cheers, Craig

LOL. Don't spare 'em, because honestly, is truth so offensive? This is seriously funny, and I mean it - your poem won't make those supporters any less hypocritical, but the rest of us can enjoy the satire. And your notes? RIGHT ON!

Thanks so much, Dawn. The astounding thing is, they can't see it. Most grateful - Craig

This poem, Paw-paw President is really quite innovative with this dual use of the orange fruit and the other pejorative term.

Hi Craig. What is the eleventh commandment? Did you see that London will display a huge inflated Donald Trump baby flying over it. It was London's Muslim mayor who approved it. Again no clue. Thank you for sharing

Hmmm, I guess the Londoners are expressing their 1st amendment rights? Poor taste? Yes - but it IS Trump lol

And this sort of thing comes up all the time - exactly how far should people be allowed to go with freedom of expression?

    Thanks for reviewing, Pam :)

I agree with all you say, Craig, although you may have gone a little easy on our favorite pin cushion.

Furthermore, I feel I should point this out - 'Work' is a poor rhyme for 'schmuck.'

Can you write a poem about BrotherTucker?

Don

LOL Don - I'll get right on that. But what on Earth could I rhyme with it? Thanks for the most fun review - Craig

He he he, this made me smile, your poem is clever and a joy to read, you can't buy these in the shops over here. My favourite line 'Forced to keep his watsit in his pants', he he he, such a lot of fun, love Dolly x

How interesting the difference between paw-paw and pawpaw. It's almost like paPa means father but PApa could mean a potato or the Pope in Spanish. I appreciate your political humor and especially that you're so well-read about other country's political scene as I don't even know the president of Australia.

I doubt you'd be in the minority, there Helen. We're not a republic, so we don't actually have one - we have a Prime Minister, like Britain and Canada. He's a quite forgettable chap, unlike some other heads of state :) Cheers, Craig

But you have an amazing country full of interesting life and I admire the gun control your country has implemented.

That's kind of you to say so, and I'm pleased that you think limiting the proliferation of firearms is a desirable thing. If only more people thought that way, the world would be a safer place.

Hmmm papayas, one of my favourite fruits I'll have you know, and they are especially yummy filled with fresh strawberries, blueberries, sliced bananas and freshly cracked pepper sprinkled on top.

That said, I think you summed up the state of the onion rather well. The thing is if you really, really, REALLY want something to be true you'll twist yourself into pretzels to ignore all the facts that prove otherwise. Kind of like Oprah's thang with The Secret. You know, that book she was peddling for the longest time that said a person could even make the city transit bus swing their way exactly when they wanted it to if they'd just put their mind to it. I always figured putting your mind to it would be reading the bus schedule so you'd be out there to catch it when it arrived.

That said I am happy to announce I know what the missing rhyme is.

Ahem (throat clearing)

he is just a jigsaw puzzle with 500 pieces from 500 different puzzles and none of them fit together. How'd I do?

A most fun poem, Craig.

Gloria

I'm sorry to have to correct you on this point, Gloria, but... strawberries, blueberries and banana are for toppings on Jayne's delicious Sunday morning pancakes -- along with lashings of coconut cream and real maple syrup (yes, imported from Canada, of course!)

Thanks for spoiling my mystery ending -- what am I to do, now that everyone knows it?

I appreciate the fun review :)

Hello, I agree with the sentiment of this poem, but he is a public figure, so his life is a bit more open than others. I don't want to wade in on American politics, as my opinion may be ill-informed and unwelcome, but all I'll say is that in a democracy, you get the leader you deserve, LOL.

I liked your poem, it read well and was interesting. Cheers, Ana.

p.s. I think a lot of good men do nothing, so a good thing for America to adopt would be compulsory voting, as it means you have a more informative electorate on the whole, and there is more chance you will get a leader that reflects the majority of the country. Ana.

LOL that is so very true, Ana (about getting the leader that is deserved).I don't see compulsory voting going down well in the States - that's not to say it's a bad idea. Many thanks, Craig

Truly a witty and comical presentation of current events. I enjoyed this immensely with the satire and references of a true comedy occurring in office. I learned a new word today as well. Excellent piece
