This was a fun one to write once I got the rhythm of it flowing in my head. After trying the diet myself, I could really relate.

Yes, the silver lining of finally "slimming down" after the self denial of all those carbs. If only the weight didn't come back once we started eating normally again. LOL

Very good, I enjoyed reading this, it made me smile. (I like the reference to 'The Golden Arches'.) I think it fits the rules, diets are awful but it's always good to be a few pounds slimmer! Good luck. Elizabeth.

You've done a brilliant job penning this poem describing this diet. I went on this diet with my wife although I didn't need to lose any weight. She lost 32 pounds in a month and I lost 26. I went on it and am still on it supporting her. The first week is the worst because your body is screaming for carbs and fatty foods. If you can stay focused with good support through the first week, then, you can make it through. You've nailed it beautifully exactly how it is. I enjoyed reading this. Well done!

A very well-written poem about having a very strict diet where you nearly starve and may not eat the things we usually craving to have but the silver lining is after one week we can lost ten pounds that is truly a win-win situation.

Ah, another fad diet. Promises of losing 'a ton' of weight in very short order make me look at the thing in askance. So many diets have come along and actually made folks sick because they were too restrictive and caused damage to the liver or the kidneys, or caused the body to shut down.
However, as a poem pointing out the 'silver lining' which you describe as the ability to lose weight - you succeeded.
