Hi Alie. Congratulations on winning the contest with this wistful and wonderful short story on unicorns. Good for you. Two suggestions: "Believe" (believe) is spelled incorrectly in the title of your piece and so is "majikal" (magical). I kind of like the unique spelling of "majikal" though ~ the special spelling adds another level of charm. But I would definitely correct "beleive" to "believe." Marilyn

Thank you so much Marilyn for reading and reviewing. I am so glad you are back. I had to smile at your suggestions, I deliberately spelled believe wrong to see who if any would notice, you did lol but that was it. And majikal is my unique spelling, so I won't be changing that, sorry. Take care.

Hi Alie. Yes, I DO like "majikal." "Beleive," though, I suggest changing. Marilyn

Your heading is spelt incorrectly. If you change it, I will up the rating. Unicorns still exist in times they are needed. Not everyone believes, I love horses so yes, I believe in Unicorns!

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I am so glad you believe in unicorns. I deliberately misspelled the title to see how many would catch it. You are the second one to do so, thanks for catching it but I will leave it.

"Everyone knows the tale of the last unicorn, so I won't endeavor to repeat what's already known." ... A little minor restructuring is needed here, Anonymous Author. The word count remains the same...

I prefer the tale told concerning unicorns in the Tom Cruise, Tim Curry film, LEGEND, rather than The Last Unicorn. In that movie mortals are forbidden to even touch a unicorn for fear that mankind's impurities might spoil the purity of the unicorn's immortal soul.
If one of the last two unicorns die, the male or the female, the species would eventually die out and our world would be plunged into eternal darkness.
Myth claims unicorns are immortal and live forever.

Best wishes,
~Dean

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing Dean. I appreciate your kind words and will work on the correction. I do recall both movies and considered them equal in different ways. Again thanks.

your title is misspelled, your are three words shy of the word limit, which means that if you didn't write at least 100 words that you are disqualified. It seems to me they are strict about word limit.

Hi, thank you for reviewing, I really appreciate your comments. The title I misspelled on purpose to see if anyone would catch it and you are the first. The contest rules said 100 words or less, but I know what you mean, so we shall see. It is great that you took the rime to read and review.

I did not see, "or less" but I only read what was there, and it might be there. It's very tough competition and when last I checked you were ahead in the votes. So, that is cool. Have a great weekend.

I had not heard this fairy tale before and am delighted the unicorns are still around. I know there is a word limit, but can you tell us how they became invisible? Spelling: majical should be MAGICAL.

Thank you for reviewing and I appreciate your comments and questions. In regards to what you mistook as a spelling mistake was intentional on my part. As far as unicorns becoming invisible- they are after all majikal creatures and becoming invisible is but one of their talents.

I think this is a good entry for the Fairy Tales - The Untold Version writing prompt.
Your short story about the survival of the invisible unicorns is a good variation.
Well done and good luck to you with this one in the competition.
