Well everyone needs a vacation sometimes. It is always good to think for yourself.
Though sometimes it can be confusing. I think the artwork of the butterfly is a bit confusing too.
Hope you did well in the contest.

Hi Joan Thanls for you review and ai was pleased to have gaoned an equal third in this contest and being a commottee voted on I was happy to be recognosed. My reason for the butterfly image was it kind of represented to me a flurry of uncertaintly and a bit bizzaire so that is how I felt with the words of being abandoned by the muse . She is back but keeps applying for leave Hmmmm LOL Cheers Christine

You're welcome. I think all our muses may do that often. Or maybe they just switch people know and then for a change in scenery.

Excellent poem! This happens when your muse leave and the reason that you didn't believe in yourself. Instead you thought of what others think of you. The message is to think for yourself and believe in yourself. Great job!

This is a perfect four line free verse poem... the message is clear, pithy, concise and a situation that I think most writers can relate to... but stating 'your own your own' is a concept that puts some humor into it, while still making a strong statement: we have to be able to write on command, when the need demands.. that is a disclipined writer... and we are not always afforded the luxury of writing 'only when inspired' -- I learned that in college and on jobs... you deserve a 6'er! Great job!
