Hi Bill, they are just too funny. You're getting very good at the clever guy and the extremely daft guy. You really do have a great imagination. All the best. Ulla:))

Pons and Ned are always a good read. It couldn't have been easy to find a way to tie that in with your mantis theme, so that makes it even better!

So now we meet the mantis as a costume visiting a dojo! Someone asked their class to meet in class with suits that matched their disciplines, so Ned shows up with a mantis outfit! He had a seamstress see his mantis costume since he was larger than most costumes. Bed decides a belt in the martial arts is better than one for a fool! Creative Bill!

I'm sure Ned will be a shining light in Kung Fu class. His get-up is going to be an attention-getter. He always tackles something new with such enthusiasm. Fun comments about Uncle Zed and his drinking. Ned has a great last line about getting a belt in Kung Fu and talking about the belt his mother used for punishment. Really funny. Pons is the perfect straight man. judi

Thanks, Judi. I base Ned and Pons on my brother and me. One is smarter and one is dumber than these chacterizations. You can guess which is which.

You're welcome. I wouldn't have thought it. judi

Hi Bill,
These two are great foil for one another in a very classic tradition of the straight guy/funny guy. Lots of word play. Great stuff.
Should that be Martial Arts Studio in the title?

Lovvve Ned's costume. He'll win every time--opponents will fall over laughing.
I didn't know these guys were cousins. That explains it. Pons puts up with Ned out of family loyalty... or maybe his uncle pays him to do it. :)

Thanks, Phyllis. Ned just makes everyone else feel like Einstein.

Another fun exchange between Pons and Ned. Sounds like Ned is in for a rude awakening. Is it KungFu they are learning? For karate, the word would be 'gi' for the uniform and for taekwondo, "dobok."

Another hilarious adventure with the two prize patsies in Ned andvPons, they really are not very bright. I wonder how Ned could get "disciplines" get mixed up with wearing an adjusted praying mantis, Well done Bill, a most enjoyable read, blessings,, Roy

Sounds like Ned has already sustained a severe blow to the head. I certainly hope that his insurance is current because something tells me his is going to paying a visit to a nearby clinic very soon. Poor guy.

Ned has insurance on his car, so if he's hurt bad he'll get in and drive off a cliff.

Ouch!

This tells the dialogues in conversation between Pons and Ned about someone and how to appreciate it for another act of learning at a Martial Arts Class; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR
