Lol. All through the poem, a certain president was on my mind and so it was perfect to see we think alike. Our leaders need to be people who do NOT have rag-manners.
Understand about the lack of time for FS.

Six stars, no question! It so needs to be said....in fact it should be read to him daily.....of course he would not know acrostic and iambic pentameter unless they came with fries at McDonald's...
Thank you for speaking out and speaking up for all women..

Haha I'm thinking you're right - the Don doesn't strike me as much of a poet. I am very grateful for the very kind words and the wonderful rating. Thank you! Craig

No, we certainly don't, Craig.
But that's what we've all been stuck with, isn't it?
Trump borders on creepy to me.
The grandfatherly pedophile we all fear where our children are concerned.
God help us all...

The lack of civility these days is really something to see. Who ever would've dreamed the POTUS could say such things and young children and people all over imitate his crudity. The comment about McCain was not surprising to me, but the thoughtless cruelty is not even something someone should think let alone say out loud.

That said excellent acrostic and well deserving of a six for the great meter too.

Thanks so much, Gloria. I gather you're referring to his "I prefer people who don't get captured" quip, or was there another? That was pretty vile. Of course, his credentials are so much more impressive. Cheers, Craig

I read through your political acrostic. Given the word of the day, if someone told me to say the first thing that comes to mind on hearing bad manners... yeah, I think I would probably think ... that guy.

The thoughts of each line sums up a consistent and clear image of responding to the behavior of a man who feels biggest when talking very small minded.

It boggles my mind that being nasty is considered something to revere, and yet, in it seems to be done with an ugly pride. I wonder if there's a word for ugly pride. Yeah, pride itself is considered something to be weary of... but I'm talking about the difference of pride in someone taking pride for cleaning a floor, and someone taking great pride on making a poop on a clean floor.

If there's a word for that kind of ugly pride, I think my mind would put him in that word of the day too.

The acrostic theme is fluid through the poem, with a pleasing rhyming scheme and flow that I didn't see any seams on, which is something I appreciate in acrostics. Nice job with this.

Thanks for the wonderful rating, Turtle. And the great comments, too - they are most happily received. Yep, I think pooping on a nice, clean floor is a pretty apt analogy. Cheers, Craig

Ho-ho, I really like this clever verse you've posted here. I suspect it refers to a President you have the good luck to be living across the planet from instead of under the 'leadership" of? He has rag manners indeed!

Haha, yep. We don't have a Pres of our own - more's the pity ;-) Of course, the days are long gone when what the POTUS did had no effect on the rest of the world, so we all get to enjoy the fruits of his labours :) Thanks for the kind words - Craig

Hello, quite a few people have 'rag manners' and it's a shame as good manners cost you nothing. I liked your acrostic poem, some very good statements and observations. I found nothing jarring and would recommend this series you are writing. Nicely done, Ana.

Clever acrostic, though I think he's dangerous too, and arrogant, although most people are dangerous who believe they're righteous to a fault... Most people, however, do not have so much influence. We'll keep hoping (and praying) for a change of heart...

Perhaps a change of President would be better. For some reason, leopards and Ethiopians spring to mind :) Cheers, Craig

Hi, Craig;
Thank you so much for this lovely poem about the non-attributes of the man living in the White House. I couldn't agree more, and I still cannot believe what happened on November 8, 2016. (Definitely Black Tuesday.)

Your limerick is in good form. I like the way you colored the first letters a different one form the rest of the line. Good job on rhyme. Your limerick is very current & applies to any male with these actions. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thanks very much, Jan. I think males (some of them) are gradually getting the idea. Not as fast, perhaps, as they should. Cheers, Craig
