A lovely way to tell your story and show your love for your Mother. Your end rhyming words were good yet I found the flow of thoughts to be disrupted. Thanks for sharing.

Awe, isn't this just lovely. Your poem is an unconditional declaration of love to your Mum. She must be so happy when she reads your beautiful poem. I like it a lot and enjoyed the reading. Good luck. All the best. Ulla:))

What a lovely tribute to the woman who has loved and nurtured you for half a century! Yet it must feel just like yesterday when she carried you in her loving arms. Thank you for sharing.

This poem, A Son's Dream, is a terrific Mother's Day send up from you to your mom. We can all take a piece of that sentiment and send it on to our mothers as well. Nice job.

What a great gift to mothers yes, I do believe that babies do recognize our voices from the womb, when my baby girl was born, she was crying, as soon as I said her name, she stopped and focused on me. What an amazing story.

The moment of birth must be one of every mother's most cherished moments and this poem that records it in the form of a dream makes a perfect Mothers' Day gift, sealing the intimate connection between mother and son. A fine poem.

This is a most original poem and a great tribute to your mum. I love the description of your birth.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the use of the verb to reply in the fifth line as nobody has asked him a question.
Thanks so much for this lovely post.

This is an excellent tribute to your mother. You should frame it and give it to her on Mother's Day. She would treasure it forever. We can never tell our mothers enough what they mean to us.

I was born in 1947. My father died when I was just fifteen. My mother was a nurse with two jobs at different hospitals. She had her kids, her work and her drinking. She made sure we had everything we needed. She died at the age of 61, a year before she was going to retire. Growing up, I was very angry about her drinking. As the years passed after her death and especially now; if I ever get a chance to see her in the afterlife, I would tell her how sorry I am. The only thing she did, was sometimes made me feel embarrassed when she drank. She did so much more for us kids than that. Thank you for the "therapy poem".

Victor, as kids we don't see them as they are and sometimes as adults as well. When we reflect back is when the true beauty of it all comes into play.
Thank you for the awesome review my friend.
