Hi, Barbara

Rats! Gunshots just when Shana and Drew are sharing a beautiful moment that is about to be capped off with a kiss! Anyway, it keeps the suspense which is something you do so well.

Hi, Barbara;
I wonder if their closeness will cloud Drew's thinking, and allow Shana to be in danger. You know how men just lose their heads when it comes to romance.

I like the direction you've taken the story in -- but I hope that sound wasn't gunfire,

Looking forward to more,

~patty~

Let's hope it's not gunfire. LOL It will be revealed on Sunday. Drew is head over heels in love with Shana. Can she keep resisting his charm? Thank you for the kind review.

Good morning, Barbara

Enjoyed the post. It seems like Anderson's and Shana's feeling towards one another are reaching a new level of involvement. One heck of a hook at the end. Well done.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Hi Barbara, This was again a well written chapter. The only thing is that Shana is starting to annoy me. I think she draws things out a bit too much, and it was not clear to me why she suddenly reversed to Anderson. Otherwise a fine chapter. All the best. Ulla:)))

I think Shana has a self-esteem issue. That should be coming out a little more. Thank you for the kind review.

Excellent, six star work. Poor Shana still can't get comfortable around Anderson. She's still having nightmares, and she's very sensitive about that. Interesting that Anderson's mother likes to do her own cooking. Now that they're in Texas, things are more relaxed. Shana and Anderson's romance will get nowhere if someone keeps trying to kill them. What an exciting way to end the chapter. Never a dull moment. Shana must be wishing for things to be dull again. judi

Bad guys around every corner, a love affair that just can't happen, yet. And now, you leave us wondering if someone has been shot, or if there's to be another battle royal. Thanks for sharing, great job. :-)

I agree we've got to get rid of the bad guys. I hope we can do that. Thank you for the kind review.

"Just fine. Thank you for asking, Anderson."

His eyes widened as he took her hand and called, "Mom, we're going out for a little while. We'll eat later." He took out his cell, pushed a button, and said, "We're walking to the lake."

~ This surprised me as much as it surprised Drew. I had to read it from the beginning again. In the end, the answer Shana gives isn't satisfactory for the reader. Not after you made the reader stop in surprise, and anticipate something drastic, if you know what I mean.

That's the only weakness in an otherwise strong and excellent chapter.
