You point out a serious issue with our society...judging others on physical appearances. I like that you address this in your poem. This is a good entry for the three line poetry contest. Good luck.

A sincere and wonderful tribute to a brother; indeed, beauty is skin deep; one must look deeper; unfortunately, many fall for mere looks; thanks for sharing and good luck!

A very well-written three-line poem. When we love our brothers and sisters we don't care about their appearance or short comings we just love them for who they are.

Your so right. Far too many people judge by appearance and not by personality. It's a sorry state of affairs. I liked your poem a lot, addressing a very important issue. All the best. Ulla:)))

Chicken pox or measles? I agree with your notes that people are cruel, very cruel and sometimes beyond cruel and supposedly 80 percent or more believe in God. That is difficult to see or believe. This is a good entry in the contest. It reads well and who knows except God how it will fair. Good luck in the contest.

Neither. Pockmarks. They look a bit like chickenpox. They are pimples and postures. But, I was thinking about it and realized

Ok, I was wondering.

Yes Pam there are some cruel and inhumane people in this world that don't consider the feelings of others. But there's one of the things on your list that I don't think gets ridiculed about well I say on my side of the track and ask the big butt people pay to get big butts now hahaha! But my question is what gives one person a right to criticize or make fun of another and by what standard. I see a lot of that in the mefia like TMZ and many others. Its the world we live in now. And some people commit suicide from such criticism.

Ah poor little mite. This picture reflects how cruel people can be and how a child can suffer
(Or adult) for being different. Well written three line poem. I wish you good luck in the competition. Jen

This speaks love is beyond every other matters, brother is loved as he looks, whatever or whatsoever, how odd he looks really with scars or colour of skin; brother is accepted at all looks; well said, well done. DR ALCREATOR

Comment from Gloria ....
So true Pam that people's reaction can be from thoughtlessness to outright cruelty for so many natural physical attributes. The little guy in the picture is actually quite cute, but he does look grumpy from the chickenpox.
All the best to you in the contest.

They are pockmarks not chickenpox. Pockmarks are pimples or postures that look like the marks on his face. Thank you for your thoughtful review and excellent rating. I a posted to contests tonight

Hello Pamusart, the World is cruel to people who don't fit the mold. And if you've been teased about something it can stay with you for life. This is what your poem spoke to me about, and it was personal because it is your brother. Nice for him to have someone that loves him unconditionally, it might be obvious that we should, but not everyone does.
Thanks for sharing another of your poems, they are always thought-provoking, Ana.

Thank you, Ana for your lovely review and excellent rating. My brother had issues, but not that one. If he did, I would love him just the same just as I do now.
