A lovely poem written for Jane Austen. Great opening verse Maria, I particularly like the stories 'engraved on paper'. Her imagination took her away from heartbreak, out of her dull world and she took and still does take her readers along with her. A lovely emotional read.
cheers.

I love all of this. 'Painting ghosts with ink'...how lovely is that? I imagine that what we think are the most boring lives, are, in reality, the most creative. She was such an inspiration, and this is a lovely tribute.
Blessings...

This is a great tribute to Jane Austen, who was indeed one of the famous English novelist. It addressed her many talents and abilities of penning the transformation of thoughts and acts to words on paper. Very well done Maria, thanks for sharing.

I don't think people who become famous because an extraordinary talent are aware of their talent, and the effect it has on people, we all live inside our own heads. Beautifully written free verse honouring Jane Austen, I've been to Bath. Well done Maria, blessjngs, Roy

I love Bath. I go there on a one-day trip every summer when I'm in England.
Thanks for reading.

An enjoyable read and I love the artwork. Many times talented people have to die before they're appreciated. Maybe one day that will happen to us Maria. What do you think? Yes/no? This is a very good poem about your favorite writer. Maybe you are Jane reincarnated. Marilyn

Hello Maria Jose Garcia, A lovely poem and beautiful tribute to Jane Austen. With April being National poetry month, this is a timely write. I especially liked:
Some say your life was tedious,
Colourless and dull.
But you fought the world
With your sword of wit.
(She was a legend, and she paved the road for other women writers. She was definitely ahead of the times.)
Also of important note:
If only you had known
How great you would become
When you walked heartbroken
Down the streets of Bath.
(So true, so sad.)
Lovely artwork choice, and now I'm going to read some of her poems. So much for reviewing. You may be the last of today - lol. Smiles, LateBloomer

I'm sure she woul love it! You are so god at free verse. Historical figure poetry is not usually appealing to me. That said, I make exception for this famous lady. Thanks for sharing,
Hugs, Trisha

VERY INTERESTING how this inspiration poem tells about how a person lived a dull boring life, but found some way to relive her life, and use items to occupy her time and enjoy living more. NICELY DONE. liberty justice
